Will there be a way to print from a Kindle Fire to a wireless printer?

PrinterShare... it was the Amazon free app of the day not too long ago....i snapped it up. It wont print natively from within applications...you have to use the app and print from files. Also it only prints to a wireless or bluetooth printer ALTHOUGH yesterday at work it recognized our networked Xerox printer (haven't figured that one out yet)

Apparently you can also print to a Google Cloud Printer if you have one set up.

Don't you have to have bluetooth to use this app? Amazon Fire does not have bluetooth.

Carolyn-
Do you know of another app that maybe assigns e-mail addresses to printers rather than printing through bluetooth signal?

My HP photosmart is wireless(not bluetooth) and has an IP address assigned - will I be able to use printershare?

Christine ... I have the app and it works with my HP Officejet J6480 which is wireless (not bluetooth) when I print from my android phone. I have tried it yet from my Kindle Fire.

Here is the chat I had with Amazon support on 26 November:

You are now connected to Abhilash from Amazon.com.
Me:How can I print a magazine page from the Kindle Fire to the HP 1525 nw wireless printer which is equipped with both AirPrint and ePrint?
Abhilash:Hello, my name is Abhilash. I'll be glad to help you.
Me:Hello Abhilash
Abhilash: Could you be on hold for a few moments while I check this for you?
Me:Of course
Abhilash:Your concern needs to be handled by a Kindle specialist. Please wait a moment while I transfer you to one of them.
A Customer Service Associate will be with you in a moment.
You are now connected to Hema Chandra from Amazon.com.
Me:Hello, Hema
Hema Chandra:Hello, my name is Manthri. I'll be happy to help you today.
Me:Hello Manthri
Hema Chandra:Hello Barry, you cannot print the magazines or books from the kindle fire.
You can only highlight or bookmark them.
Me:Can I print anything wirelessly from the KF?
Hema Chandra:Sorry but the printing option is not available. It cannot be connected to any other hardware.
Me:Are there any KF apps that will allow wireless printing?
Hema Chandra:No, Barry.
Me:Thank you for your help
Hema Chandra:You're welcome!
Is there anything else I can help you with today?
Me:No, thank you. Goodbye.
Hema Chandra:Thanks for contacting amazon.com.We look forward seeing you again soon.Have a great day.

PrinterShare sounds great, but it and the other printing apps are marked as not available for the Fire. :-(

Nothing like an absolute answer.

You say you have an HP eprint capable printer. Can you email a page to it, and try? I have to get a new printer, but because of past HP issues was leaning toward a Canon Pixma 882.

I just installed the Kodak Pic Flick app (free from kindle store) and was able to print pictures to my Kodak ESP C315 wireless. Slick. But, it appears to be just for images.

If you have a wifi printer print share will work. Otherwise you need to install the printer share server on your local computer.

I have an HP ePrint capable LaserJet. I can wirelessly email documents and/or attachments directly to my printer's own email address (xxxxx@hpeprint.com) for a printout from anywhere. I was wondering if I could do this with the Kindle Fire that I am considering buying. It would be convenient to be able to print a page from a magazine. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I downloaded the Printershare trial, adjusted the Fire settings for 'Allow Apps From Unknown Sources', installed the App, and printed a Test Print to my Brother HL-2040N, using Printershare's generic driver. I was so delighted I paid my $12.95, downloaded and installed the Printershare key and printed a seven page .pdf file to the same printer. The whole process took under thirty minutes, including the time I waste fat-fingering the Kindle keyboard.

This is an excellent investment. For the guy who decided the App was priced OK at $8.00, but is overpriced at $13.00, pass up your next six-pack!

So in what way is printershare incompatible with the fire? I understand the Coudprint issue, but every test I've see has it working fine for your own local wifi printer.

I purchased the CamScanner from my Kindle Fire and it doesn't open. Has anyone tried it on their KF? If not I just wasted my money.

Printershare does work on my HP Deskjet 6980 (Wifi'd and BT). Created Word docs, color pics drawn in Doodle, photos. Have to use Easy share (free) and select the file to print to Fire, but it works great. BTW, you can't get it through the Amazon App Store at least I couldn't. Purchased it and downloaded direct from Printershare . for the $13, it was worth it.

G. Stolz says:
I have tried and tried to find a way to print e-mail's without success. E-mail ads from subscribed sites can be printed out on my wireless printer, but a simple text message from an individual does not allow me to print. The PrintShare Premium that I downloaded for the Kindle Fire offers some nine boxes that include Gmail, along with eight other buttons that I do not know how to configure (if that's the word to use). Is there some in depth tutorial on the web for dummies like me, or is there already a PrintShare For Dummies book available?

Very close to contacting Amazon for a refund.

Thanks in advance
