My 7" Kindle Fire HD is currently upgrading on its own. I haven't seen any announcements on this, has anyone else?

It was quick; the version currently reads 7.4.6
It's past my bedtime, so I'll look tomorrow to see what might have changed.

ETA: Oops, never mind. I see that this upgrade has already been posted about earlier in the month. Sorry 'bout that; I should have searched before I posted.

Shady - No announcement was ever posted for this update. It just started rolling out today. It hasn't been announced yet. You can see what the changes are here - http://amazon.com/kindlesoftwareupdates

I got the upgrade sometime today. I didn't see any notification. I leave the Wi-Fi on since it doesn't use much extra battery and I charge it every night. No problems observed.

It would be good for Amazon to post something about the update. Like @Leroy Baker, I haven't observed any issues since the 7.4.6 update, either. But how many issues might be scattered throughout the forum, that are actually being caused by the update, and being reported by people who didn't notice the update?

Owell. I guess they know best.

Ratcheson,I reported to Amazon when I got my 8.4.6 update.Seems I was an early tester. My Silk browser was accelerating way too fast, and when I clicked on books,it responded slowly,or not at all.
They finally fixed the book clicking, but the browser is still a might too fast.

I really wish they would go find a way to let us organize the books instead of adding different colors to the highlighter.
