From the web on your Fire open settings, then scroll until 'enable flash' comes up - turn it on.

Already answered in your other thread. You even replied to that thread...why post again?

Flash shows in settings>applications>all applications...but does not show when selecting "active applications" There is no option to "enable flash" in settings, so I guess it was that way in an earlier version of the firmware?? Since there is NO WAY to contact Amazon for help, with no phone number or email address ANYWHERE on their site...how the chit do you enable Flash??? Flash was the main reason I did not opt for an ipad instead.

Debra did you click the Help top of this page then Kindle then Contact us?

I know 3 clicks is a lot to get to a phone number, they will even call you so you don't have to call.

(intended for James)...your sarcasm is unwarranted...I have been all over the site....I have been in the FAQ's, the forum, the help section, (online and in the kindle) and evidently I missed it, not expecting it to be a clickable "contact us" button that looked like their checkout option. Your response was "less than helpful"

Mark Twain says:
You can't install Adobe flash, it's already installed. The current version is 10.3.186.52. Amazon will probably update it with their next software release.

I had adobe flash when I first got the kindle but after a few months,it uninstalled by itself and there is no way that I know of to get it back.

Danie, do this:

Press Web
Press the Menu icon at the center bottom
Press Settings on the pop up
Swipe up to go down to the Behavior section
Change the Enable Flash to On Demand or Always On

Flash was disabled in the most recent update to the Fire. You simply need to re-enable it.

If you have a newer model Fire, there is no Flash in the web browser (Silk). You can install Flash by installing a Flash enabled browser (Dolphin HD). Here are the instructions:

To install Flash: (You have to have a Flash compatible browser in order to install Flash. You can't install it under Silk.)

Do the following on the Fire/Fire HD itself:

Swipe down from the top > More > Device > Allow Installation of Applications.

Install ES File Explorer: ES File Explorer File Manager

Download and install the Dolphin HD and Flash Player apk files from this link:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9d8gxh75f0747f1/83fV5m6x2c

Once both files are downloaded to your Fire, open ES File Explorer and look in the "Downloads" folder. You should see both files there. Install Dolphin HD *first* by tapping on the icon. Then Install Flash.

And how do I 're-enable it? It's not even an option in the settings for me.
