I am trying to figure out the best price to list my 15.4" Widescreen Sony Vaio VGN-FZ430E laptop with XBRITE-HiColor LCD technology that is silver and weighs 6lbs. It is in perfect condition, has a brand new Sony battery, brand new as in just received it a week ago. Has 1 year of black tie service through BB, comes with (4) Sony factory recovery DVDs, comes in the original box, with Windows Vista Home premium pre-installed with CoA, power cord, power adapter. Some Specs: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHz 3 GB DDR2 SDRAM, 350GB HD, DVD+/-RW.

Any suggestions? Or anyone interested? I am going to list it on Amazon and possibly elsewhere too, so if you are interested let me know that it is worth listing. Thanks!

did a quick search on craigslist and ebay and didn't find any current listings for that particular model.

consider replacing your existing hard drive before selling it so as to prevent any personal data from being exploited ... just a thought

Thanks. Because of its condition, brand new battery, and BB protection plan I cannot afford to sell it that low. I can list it at the price I want and then see what happens. I am going to list it on Ebay as well. Regarding the HD, I have software that will wipe the HD so that it is completely unrecoverable so I don't need to purchase a new hard drive. Thanks for the advice & looking info up!!

sounds like a solid plan - I'm sure the last thing you wanted to hear was spend more money . I like to take my older and no longer useful HDs and repeatedly smack them with a small sledge hammer(be careful w/ that glittery dust). I find this to be a great approach towards ultimate data security.

You can also take a magnet and move it around the HD too!

that would be the more appropriate method. I have an old 12" subwoofer that works perfect for that. the aforementioned approach can be a great tension breaker after a difficult day - of course safety glasses would be wise.

Are you looking for a powerful laptop for gaming, college or professional work?

The Dell Inspiron 15R laptop has Windows 7 Home Premium (much easier to use than Windows 8 system), 1000 GB = 1 TB hard drive, 8 GB RAM, 4 USB 3.0 super fast ports to transfer flies. You can use the laptop to either play games or watch videos without issues.

I want to buy a Windows 8 ultrabook with touch screen to learn new system, since Windows 7 is easy to me.

I also installed screen and keyboard protector on the laptop to avoid any scratches since purchase. The Dell warranty will not expire until February 2014.

Most importantly, you cannot miss the Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007 since it's required for many college classes and professional work. The software costs over $50 on Amazon, but it's free on the laptop.
