Re:

"Like some femanists still want a guy to pay for their meal on a date if I'm not mistaken"

"Can you say "hypocrite...[...]...Lets face it, women will never be equal until they assume the same risks (asking for a date) as men do and paying their share of a date."

Who in the world are *these* feminists? That's the silliest thing I've heard all day. There's no reason that one party should feel intimidated to ask the other party for a date! It is pretty risky, though. You might get a hurt feeling. I don't think it's right for whoever (girl, guy, whatever) to expect another person to always pay the way. Maybe if you were the person asking for the date and specifying that it was your treat...but even then I would feel awkward. I would at least offer. I hate not paying for my own stuff!

Re: "feMANists"

Those feminists are gonna love you for that one! Hopefully that double entendre was accidental. :)

Ask around, I've known TONS of women, feminist and otherwise, who are either afraid to ask a guy out or just plain refuse to because of some misguided principal.

re: "feMANists"

I didn't spell it that way. Perhaps you're referring to someone else?

"We men are a pain in the ass to deal with and its only fair of us to treat them to a nice meal."

-LOL! Isnt that what male actors do already when shooting a porn ? Some of those girls have their mouth full very often....

Go ahead if you want to, just don't make excuses that it is somehow fair. Men are no more of a pain in the ass than women are.

So can women.

re: "(women) they are way more evolved and more intelligent."

Oh for the love of god.......where did you get that nonsense?

Yah, I was teasing the guy you quoted. He spelled it that way.

I generally didn't mind paying for a meal but it is at least nice when the girl reaches for thier wallet. My 1st experience went that way. I paid since I was ahead in the line for the buffet. I think she then said she at least wanted to get the tip at the end which was nice as well. I once had one offer a coupon she had in her purse. Hey, it's something.

I'm generally happy on my own & glad I got out of that scene years ago though. I have plenty of hobbies to keep me busy on my own.

She said "I have breasts, I "don't" pay". lololol.....His jaw hit the ground before she told him she was just kidding.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn't normally make this joke in a public forum but we seem pretty jovial here so here goes:

Well, if the girl prominently displays her breasts for the date, then she indeed has paid her share :)

I feel I need to apologize to the femanists now depite my lead in & the fact that I did say it was a joke.

Thanks for chiming in Bella7,

Yup, it's a good old "family tree". I think some of us are actually keeping it alive as well. It may be fewer & more far between but they're not actually dead.

I calls 'em like I sees 'em. Which puts me one up on the NFL replacement referees, right? As in last night's ludicrous Packers/Seahawks debacle. I mean seriously, I've seen (no exaggeration here) better officiating at local high school games.

Actually, this rant derives from talking with some other drunken morons a few nights back about the Emmies. One of our drunken morons was insisting that this year's "Breaking Bad" was the best "Breaking Bad" ever, and, slightly drunk and more than usually moronic, I opined that it was the worst.

I was, as always, right.

S, I'm not going to guess your age, but... if you worked in a shop full of the young, the tatooed, the pierced, the bright young propellor-heads who make today's crazy now-a-go-go world spin, you'd notice that old-school notions of who asks who out, and who pays for dinner are pretty much a relic of the dusty past.

These kids, I'm telling you! Girls ask boys out, boys ask girls out, boys ask boys out, and most of 'em split the check. And when you talk to the girls about "feminism" or "liberation", you get mostly a blank look. Might as well try to talk Thucydides to them. Makes me feel like the fossil I am.

Good to know, but sadly it doesn't help us guys of Baby Boomer age one bit.

Nothing but human growth hormone or the sweet release of death can help the Boomers, eh?

Or, I wasted time, now time wastes me?

Could be worse. Any day above ground is a good day, etc.
