Good set.
I like the mono mix of the album best.

Posted on Mar 21, 2012, 3:51:41 AM PDT
I think that's my favorite of the three discs too.

Bernard J. says:
I just felt the mono mix sounded better, on some tracks, you could hear instrumentation in the backing that would be buried in the stereo one. Like the mellotron in "Starstruck", evident in mono, much less so in stereo. The wood wind instruments were more evident on the track "Village Green", less so in stereo.
Disc 3 has some interesting gems, and "Johnny Thunder" sounded good in a new stereo mix, by the way.

Yeah, the Johnny Thunder reference in the title of the thread is what prompted me to post. Too coincidental to ignore!

I've been digging deep into fairly obscure 70's hard rock/metal, playing LP's by band like Nutz, Dirty Tricks, Rex, Legs Diamond & Tucky Buzzard. I found most of these records for only a few bucks. I love this stuff!!!!
