Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen....

I hope that your weekends are trucking along as they should....

Ms Althea, thank you for the pointer to this here place....There is always room for a place which devotes itself to easy listening adult music....

I shall absorb the posts and hopefully be able to stand with such a crowd as this....

Again, thank you for this site....

Hi Mr. Colorado,

Thank you so much for coming in. :-)

re: There is always room for a place which devotes itself to easy listening adult music....

This place devotes itself to *all* music. It is by no means a strictly easy listening music thread, the first poster talked about soft pop/rock but that is not the premise here. Sure, talk about soft pop/rock but you can also talk about jazz, gospel, R & B, classical, country,European Pop, J-Pop, etc.....

After you read the other posts, I'm sure you will see, we're not *strictly* anything. Enjoy the music!

Hi Jim,

I knew you would be the one to appreciate that piece too. Yeah, that's neat, I like things like that too. :-)

I'm in a classical music mood today. Right now I have on "Sibelius- The Swan of Tuonela".

Just putting these out for whomever chooses to open their hearts to enjoy them.

I wonder how many are familiar with this African American composer William Grant Still.

Jim,

That's fine, of course. I started this thread to talk about it all.

What would you like to talk about now?

Posted on Jan 24, 2010 12:21:04 PM PST
ah putting me on the spot, eh? I'm sure there will be something, I'm sure. I told you about a girl named Barbara Kessler once.. She's country/folk/bluegrass.. Has a song called "Deep Country" I'm sure you'd love it. Greatly written song. Youtube?

Although I don't like Avant Garde or "Free" Jazz, I'm listening to Mother Ship right now and not finding it too far into that bag. You may enjoy it as well if you haven't already.

always loved "Cloudy' by Simon & Garf. Great lyrics.. Have always like lyrics with City names and people in them.. Like Neil Diamond's. "Glory Road" What a tearjerker that is.

What a lovely song, "Cloudy", thanks. It's cloudy and raining here, expecting flooding in some areas tonight and tomorrow.
