Hi Hammerwood,

Those newspaper freebies are usually excellent value. We don't get too many in Australia but I do have a couple I treasure. I heard the track No One Listen on the radio and it reminded me how Ray Davies is still writing great and pertinent songs. I also love his live show Storyteller. Hope you are able to replace your Wishbone Ash collection somehow - what a bummer!

David Gray Greatest Hits
Norah Jones Not Too Late
Genesis The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
Genesis Nursery Cryme

All used, some as low as $1. Not a huge Genesis fan, however, worthwhile investment to experience LAMB and try to discover why so many music fans seem to enjoy it so much.

The Most Relaxing Classical Music in the Universe

Both the above for $1 each at my Half-Price Books store.

Rachmaninoff Greatest Hits
Paul Simon Songbook

The above three at Barnes and Noble. The store is blowing out physical media (cd's, DVD's, Blu-Ray's) buy 2-get 1 free. These were marked $6.99-7.99, rang up $4.99 at checkout, so scored all three brand new for $10.76 including sales tax.

Admittedly, these aren't essential acquisitions, but were nice scores. For $3 and change, I'll chance the Paul Simon title. Many decent titles. Dylan, Miles, Joe Walsh, Aretha, The Cars, Otis Redding, Joni Mitchell,....

Re: One new Rock

Have you listened to Ian Anderson's, "Thick As A Brick 2" ? I'll be 60 yrs old next year and Jethro Tull was one of my favorite bands when I was younger. It doesn't matter that it's Ian Anderson and not Jethro Tull or that Martin Barre is not on the album. TAAB2 is an excellent follow up to "Thick As A Brick".

Fischman says:
I've always been a big Tull fan and I think Thick as a Brick is their greatest accomplishment. I also enjoy later Tull albums that weren't well received (i.e. J Tull Dot Com), so I'm not biased against the more recent stuff like so many others.

Having said that, given the origianal's greatness and place in history, a worthy follow-up seems unlikely, if not impossible. Your words are most encouraging--I'll have to give it a go--I'm always happy to welcome new Tull and never have any expectations about what it "should" be.

Thanks for the tip.

First listen wasn't what I'd expected and it took a few listens to warm up to. Listen to it at least three or four times.
