Starting this thread on my iPhone is really not so easy. My little netbook is cranky :( But I am sooo ready for the week end!!

perri - me too, I don't know how I will make it through tomorrow - I need another vacation:)

I am finishing up Thirteen - it's been very action packed so far - don't know what I'll read next. Happy weekend all:)

Ahh, a nice quiet weekend for me, husband is working, my son who I care for is at respite... might be a good time to make a dent in the TBR challenge.

Finishing up City of Lost Souls (Mortal Instruments 5) and then have two Kate Daniels to finish before Gunmetal Magic.

Hope everyone can get some quality reading done this weekend and have fun.

I am reading the first book in the Lord's of Acadia series, The Care and Feeding of Griffins. With 5 pre-orders coming on Tuesday I think that I will read the next Acadia book and call it good.
I think that the hubby and I are going to do something fun for our birthdays so I will be lucky if I finish both books before Tuesday.

Happy Reading and Weekend to you all.

I'm going to finish up Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World, Book 2) by Jeaniene Frost today. It's really good, if I hadn't been so tired I would have finished it last night. I'm still a little undecided, but will probably start Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey next. And I'm still in the mood for graphic novels, so will also read Serenity: The Shepherd's Tale by Joss Whedon.

edited to finish my post since I hit the wrong button :-P

I'm still working my way through the Elemental Assassin series. Started Spider's Revenge (Elemental Assassin Books) this morning. I'm not sure how much reading I will get done though. Tomorrow is "spa" day. Facial, waxing, and finally a massage. After that I'll go spend some time with the grandbaby. :)

Mom of 3 - will have to see what you think of Chosen - I am wondering how the author (mom of 6) has the time to write...

I'm curious about Chosen (The Chosen #1) as well since the Kindle prices are good on all the books and it looks like (I had totally forgotten) I got the first one for free a couple of weeks ago. Duh!

I've been reading some different stuff lately, some of it YA. I read The ABC's of Kissing Boys which I was not impressed with, and The False Prince: Book 1 of the Ascendance Trilogy which I thought was really good. I just finished Dragonflight (Dragonriders of Pern) and I hope I don't get shot for saying this, but I didn't love it. I thought the writing could have been better, and there's little to no character development. I'm not sure if I'll read any more in the series.

I've got The Lies of Locke Lamora waiting for me from the library, but I don't know if if I'm in the mood for it. Perhaps I'll actually read all of these great Kindle cheapies that I haven't gotten around to: Flat-Out Love, Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, Book 1), or Beautiful Disaster: A Novel.

A. Davis... we must have "shopped" the same day, I also have Angelfall, let us know how you like it. I normally don't go for YA but it sounded so good.

Found Q... the Elemental Assassins is on my TBR pile. I haven't started them yet because I have so many pre-orders coming in that I am afraid that I would end up reading all of the ES books, and the last thing I need is more books to read. ;-}

kari... I wish that I was just reading the Night Huntress series for the first time. **** wistful sigh inserted here ****

kari says:'s one of those series that I really like but mysteriously stopped in the middle of (probably because of TBR pile overflow, LOL). I have the last 2 Cat & Bones books and the new one with Vlad to read and I'll be all caught up. :-)

T. Smith says:
You might try the second Pern book because the first does have a lot of world building. I liked the second book better myself. If you don't like it, then, hey not everyone likes the same series.
