What have you lost and why?

We'll get over it when the country recovers from it.

Well, if Obama gets back in, you'll have to wait at least 5-6 more years

It's not always so easy to quantify. I know, for instance, that our income has not kept up with our costs.

I guess you could say that we have lost, in that regard. Many people have lost, in that way.

The Mitt Romneys don't lose that way, though. They just kep finding ways to squeeze the rest of us. They send our jobs over seas, they quash our unions, so we have little or no voice. Then they take from us the things (such as benefits) that the unions protected for us.

They whine that they don't get to keep enough of their massive wealth, or that our government might actually want to tax the income they have stashed offshore, if they decide to bring it back into the country.

And every extra dollar they get away with makes the rest of the country's financial burden tougher on us. Social services get cut. Cops and firefighters get laid off, leaving our cities and our homes less protected. teachers get laid off, making classroom overcrowding more of an issue.

But the Mitt Romneys don't have to walk the city streets. They send their kids to private schools.

We get the table scraps, or what fell on the floor.

Crime is near historical lows.

We all know the more you pay teachers, the less they're going to do.

If anything, cut their pay in half and hire twice as many.

Only if he still has to deal with a GOP majority in the House, or the Filibuster Brigade in the Senate.

Republicans the last decade have been no good to the country. They gave us this crisis, then did everything in their power to try to keep Obama from solving it.

Today, the president was finally able to sign a bill designed to start fixing our beaten-up infrastructure.

The president has offered numerous jobs bills. Until this bill was approved, the Republicans had never taken up a single one of them in the House. That is Boehner's fault. All so that the Republicans could point at a poor jobs record.

They are literally willing to let the country crumble, just to beat Obama.

Great crowd you have there.

That sounds more like the 1%. The more money they get, the less work they actually do. They just get fatter.

Everything you say is what "they" have done. They have not taken anything away from you. The alternative to sending jobs overseas is to go bankrupt resulting in American workers losing their jobs. To demonize one group is just a simplistic way to explain when things are not going well. Social services and cops and firefighters were laid off because state revenues declined due to the recession--the alternative would be to raise you taxes and then you have less disposable income and complain about your income not keeping up with your costs.

The recession occurred in 2007 after the Democrats took control of the House and Senate. I don't blame the recession on Democratic control of Congress any more than I blame it on the Republicans. Show me the specific polices that either party passed that gave us the crisis.

seajaw says: "The president has offered numerous jobs bills. Until this bill was approved, the Republicans had never taken up a single one of them in the House."

And the House passed numerous jobs bills the Senate would not consider. How is that any different?

Based on absolutely no facts but hatred toward one group (as baseless as mertin's comments about teachers with obviously no knowledge of education).

Who we kidding, Obama needs all day just to decide what he wants for dinner

It's obvious he's a campaigner, NOT a Politician. It's apparent he can't work bipartisan

Why would you want 4 more years of this?
