she "stays home to watch the kids, so she cant work"
she is quick to point out how deserving she is of it
She takes money from "the Man" with NO intention of working for it
She tries to make her life sound JUST LIKE YOURS...but WAY harder....

yup, sounds like a welfare queen to me!

Mende Mui says:
The problem with this how-ever is that she is getting money from her husband even though he screws others to get it. Obama, Michele, Joe Biden, etc have all said that it was wrong to attack her. Keep the wives out of this messy politics.

One thing is for sure though, Ann don't have any idea how hard it is for women who work 1 or 2 jobs and then take care of their children.

She should probably ask her husband how many women had to suffer because their husbands were out of work when Romney took over and chopped their jobs up.

Do you even know the definition of a welfare queen? It means someone COLLECTING welfare.

From what I understand, Mitt brought this on himself when he referred to her as his "Economic Advisor".

Forget trying to justify it, just use the right's tactic of making stuff up and accuse them of the same stuff they accuse us of.

That is absolutely correct. Yet her husband supports repealing the Affordable Health Care Act and de-funding Planned Parenthood -- both which have helped millions of women with breast and cervical cancer screenings.

But Ann Romney doesn't have to worry about insurance. So she isn't worried about other women who don't have insurance. Which makes her Mrs. Mitt Romney down to her core.

"Yet her husband supports repealing the Affordable Health Care Act and de-funding Planned Parenthood"

like the majority of Americans

Not even close.

Bob says:
Yeah but the simple fact is when you look at that slightly above 50% number that oppose or want to repeal there is always 10 -20% that want it changed to go FARTHER.

Things like public option
Single payer
etc

But lets ignore that.

The majority of Americans do not favor defunding Planned Parenthood. You are wrong. If the Affordable Health Care Act is repealed, those that are now enjoying not being canceled because of preexisting conditions or because they became chronically ill, and the three million 21-26 year olds still on their parent's policies will then say "THIS was Obamacare?"

The right [and Fox] have done a yeoman like job of confusing the American people. I'll give them that.

It's all in the hands of 9 people.

I am beginning to feel sorry for her. Let it go people. She has been fortunate to have an easy life with a rich husband and maids and nannies. I suppose she has not been exposed to the world outside much to see how so many other mothers struggle to survive. Not her fault.

- What does that have to do with my statement? The women who have 1 or 2 jobs and still take care of their children have no other choice. And if (only if) they could afford child care, their salary couldn't cover that so they get food stamps to cover some food. Ann stayed at home because she had a choice to. I don't really like talking about Ann in general, there is a lot of dirt on her husband. He has no problem cutting services that these women who actually do work for a living depend on --not because they are lazy, but because they can't afford it.

If you feel sorry for her now, how are you going to feel if her husband gets elected President?

WOW....you know so much what she thinks. Tell me what she thinks about the Space-time continuum? I'm curious.

I don't know. I really feel for her when I see her on TV now. Her husband used her as an example for his own political gain and she has become the target of attacks and insults ever since. She has done nothing to deserve it.

Vote Obama:

Bobby Kennedy is said to have talked everything over with Ethel - she was his sounding board. She was from a very wealthy family, and a stay at home mom, but apparently a truly grounded woman with great insight into human nature. Why shouldn't her husband want her advice and input on many issues?

She was criticized for packing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for beach picnics instead of something more "wholesome."

Political wives cannot win - ever. No matter which side their husband is on.

After eighteen formative years, of course.
