Didnt recuse himself from the Obamacare case and his wife is a Major anti-health care lobbyist!

clarence thomas is the worst judge ever, even with alito on board

papa bush giving him the black chair is a disgrace and deep dishonor to the great Justice THurgood Marshall, who earned the chair the hard way. Clarence is just a GOP stooge, like scalia and gang

Skeptical Eye says: "Didnt recuse himself from the Obamacare case and his wife is a Major anti-health care lobbyist!"

Thomas is a dupe, a shill, a stooge, and an idiot.

He has yet to say anything on the court. He just sits there and wastes oxygen.

We got a good idea of how corrupt the moron is during the Anita Hill testimony.

At least his wife didn't work on the Obamacare bill, or worse yet, at least he didn't work on the Obamacare bill.

Eagle Eye says:
You mean like Justice Kagan who didn't recuse herself after she defended the Obamacare bill prior to her appointment to the court?

So having an opinion is the same as being a lobbyist and paid to convince others that the views of your employer have merit?

You honestly don't think the other judges had an opinion?

You are strange guy, as you can read Thomas' and Kagan's mind.

Having an opinion isn't the same as working on the bill that's up for review. Being married to someone who does something for a living isn't the same as doing that for a living yourself.

Doing very well, f4a, thank you. How are you?

Not bad. Still vertical, as they say around here. LoL

That's definitely better than the alternative!

Something I heard: Someone asked Scalia, if he was an "originalist".
Scalia answered: Yes, But, I am "not a nut".

What do the readers think?

Eagle Eye says:
The Justices are expected to rule on the law and nothing else. They are expected to put their feelings and opinions aside when ruling on a case and decide if it's constitutional or not, based on the Constitution.

f4a: When the system gives individuals power to use aggressive force against those who do not use such acts, why are we surprises when it is misused?

"So having an opinion is the same as being a lobbyist and paid to convince others that the views of your employer have merit?"

Sigh. Having an opinion as a judge is a little different than having YOUR WIFE be a lobbyist.

<laughing> Too hot for you to function properly today, TORG?

My first husband is a doctor. Maybe I should've started my own medical practice. :-)

minah sighs and says: "Having an opinion as a judge is a little different than having YOUR WIFE be a lobbyist."

My point exactly.

A judge can have an opinion. Having a wife who is a lobbyist is a conflict of interest.

Is working on the bill coming up for review a conflict of interest?
