I'm jealous, Viva. Bruuuce was here in Austin for SXSW, gave the keynote address and then played an epic 3hr set in an intimate venue where "Austin City Limits" is now filmed. Couldnt' make that one though and he doesn't have another Texas stop on the current tour, though he may add some.

VH... I saw them in 1981 and 1983 and I doubt the new tour will top that, but I'd still like to go. Not sure I'll be able to make that one either though....

I do have tix for 2 Waters "Wall" shows coming up in May though. Seems like I bought those forever ago now but it's finally getting close.

Let us know how the shows are!

Hi alysha25 - I sure hope you are not disappointed! I love 'em! Technicolor Mother is really good.

I just ordered "In the Future" by Black Mountain and look forward to hearing it. Thank you!

Hey there mac. I ordered their CD "Technicolor Mother" , when you posted about them on a "psychedelic songs" thread. I haven't listened to the whole thing. So many CD's , so little time ;o). But I will. Not sure if I will warm up to the lead singer's voice. I also ordered their other CD, but the marketplace seller cancelled on me. Oh well, maybe I'll get it another time.

I'd like to actually find New groups I like. But it is difficult. I know there are threads with lists of them but - as the OP said , everyone is plugged into an ipod in their own little space listening to something different.

Here's mine - "Black Mountain" please give it a listen, I really like them! I've listened to the album "In the Future" more than their other 2, though there are definitely some worthy tracks on the other 2 also. I guess I can describe them as a little folksy/psychedelic, they have a male and a female singer, and some great tunes.

I got yer back, Viva. Bruuuce is the man.

2 bands though that I would sit in the nosebleeds of the Enormodome to see if I had to but instead get to see 'em with 50 or so other people in tiny dives because hardly anyone else (still) likes them:

Concrete Blonde
Living Colour

They are right up there with The Who, Zep, The Beatles, da Stones, Queen and all my other "big time" favorites and I listen to 'em all the time and collect everything I can, but... every else seems to have checked out!
