Purse Monkey says:
Loved Keegan's Lady. CA's best work, IMO. The rape didn't bother me cause it happened before the book started. Ace Keegan ranks top 5 favorite heroes of all time. One of the few books that made me cry.

Just finished this one and loved it. I was able to borrow it from my library and have put it on my wish list. Def. fits this catagory.

Just finished the Bride Finder by Susan Carroll. Loved it! It meets all my favorite criteria and was very different than the standard romance.

The latest of Diana Palmer's new series has them waiting until marriage. There is a little bit of sexual tension and some fooling around, but nothing complete until marriage.

I scanned this thread quickly and didn't see Carla Kelly's books mentioned. She's wonderful. I can recommend everything that I've read by her, but here are my favorites: The Lady's Companion, Mrs. Drew Plays Her Hand, Miss Whittier Makes a List, and Marrying The Captain (Harlequin Historical). It is so easy to fall in love with her heroes.

Thanks Robin and D. Arnold! I'll give Carla Kelly a try, I've heard a lot about her books.

The Misted Cliffs by Catherine Asaro. Hero wants to conquer her country, heroine wants her family and friends to live. The answer? Get married and let their kids inherit both countries, minus a war.

This is a fantasy romance but I really like the dynamic between the hero and heroine. The Misted Cliffs (Misted Cliffs, Book 2)

A Rogue for All Seasons by Sara Lindsey (Weston Family #3) they wait until marriage. The husband-to-be even thinks to himself that he wants everything to be perfect for her on their wedding night.

He also said very romantic things to her trying to prove he loved her.

Do not read the first 2 books in the series as they don't wait until marriage.

Provocative in Pearls has a marriage of convenience theme. The hero and heroine are married at the beginning of the book and there's a slow build. Provocative in Pearls
