Hey gals. Never posted before but have been reading and getting great recs from this forum for a few years. Recently readBared to You: A Crossfire Novel and Knight (The Unfinished Hero Series), (rec on here) and enjoyed them both. I read Bared to You because everyone was saying it was similar to FSoG, but if no one had told me that, I don't think I would have seen a connection. Thanks for all the recs, and I hope to add some of mine as well, if I find anything worth mentioning :)

I read On the Prowl - the hero was pretty possessive, he says "mine" the first time they have sex and doesn't want other guys to look at her. This is a shifter story with an arranged marriage but they both are attracted to each other. The romance wasn't really fleshed out but it's a decent story with a possessive jealous hero

Melissa,

I read all of Christine Warren's early 'Others' novels and enjoyed them very much but I was not as happy with the last one or two. From your comment, I gather I might still be disappointed if I got this one. Aside from having a possessive, jealous hero (which I love), would you recommend this one? Thanks.

Janet

Janet,

I stopped reading her series too because I didn't like the last few. I enjoyed this one, it was better but it wasn't amazing. The romance could have used more depth but it was still decent.

I reread Lover Eternal book 2 of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Rhage fits this thread. Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 2) I love how he is so focused on her and willing to do anything to make her happy.

I am so sad that I don't like the later books in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Oh well, I'll just keep rereading the earlier books.

I loved Lover Eternal. I love when she first met him and he kept wanting to hear her voice and kept asking her to say something. That was such a funny scene. Great book and you are absolutely right, Rhage fits this thread.

Lover Eternal is my favorite BDB book, it makes me cry :) Rhage does fit this thread. The first few BDB books are much better than the last ones.

Totally agree on Rhage and Lover Eternal. He's my fave Brother. Hmmm. Might be time for a reread.

Has anyone read Enemy Mine (Alpha and Omega, Book Two) by
Aline Hunter?
I read the first and loved it, but was wondering if the H in Enemy Mine was possessive/jealous like in the first book. Thanks.

I have not read it yet, but have added it to my TBR pile. What I've read on Goodreads is that the hero is Alpha without being aggressive and dominant.

I read Enemy Mine, but didn't love it like I loved OM. There was a little too much going on in EM, the world is expanding and evolving. Emory is possessive; he fought long and hard to find Mary. Can't wait for bk 3.

Do you know which characters #3 will be about, Lisa?

Lisa, reading Enemy Mine{thanks for the loaner ,btw} and have to agree with you,Emory was not as possessive as Diskant.Still it is a good read and i enjoyed the 2 of them together.

Lisa says:
Bk 3 should be about Trey, Emory's brother, and Sadie, vamp (remember her from OM who was following him around invisibly?). Also, secondary couple should be Nathan (I think that's the 2nd in command's name) and Sadie's vamp "sister".

@Lisa,that is what I thought, you were right,I will eventually buy it to add to my collection.I have a feeling that Trey is going to be all out crazy, possessive, lol.

Lisa says:
Vdamat: hopefully we won't have to wait longer than 6 mos. for bk 3. Oh yeah...Trey is going to go possessive and protective when he finds out what Sadie did! Can't wait to see the fireworks fly!

Thanks you guys for letting me know about Enemy Mine...I loved the first one, might just wait for the third one then read both back to back, since the book 3 sounds good.

I'm about 60% through a book I saw reviewed on Goodreads this morning. The Edge of Courage (Red Team). The hero is former military with drastic PTSD. Once he starts to fall for the heroine, he's pretty possessive and jealous, even toward the heroine's brother, even though he knows it's dumb. He's not over the top Alpha, though. It's mostly contained.

Best part is that it's only $.99. Worth it, I think.

HJ Leonard - Thanks for the rec. I bought it and now will see if it is as good as the reviews.

I hope you like it. I'm now about 80% in, and the story has had some branching off to the other men (set up for future books, I'm guessing). And they seem like they may be a bit more Alpha/possessive than Rocco in this one.

Hi H.J.: I am trying this one out. Thanks for the rec. It sounds pretty good. I just got City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments) in the mail and am reading that first. The Edge of Courage looks good and the price is right.

I don't know if this book really fits but years ago I read Dark Betrayal (Harlequin Presents) by Patricia Lake and I remember if not wrong that the hero was very possessive. H/h' love was very obsessive. I liked it a lot and as soon as I can I'll try to reread it again. It's not important but the hero on the cover is one of the most handsome cover models I've ever seen.
