Oh, I love this CONFIRMATION!

(sorry for this all caps, but this is a happy time)

and now all is well with our universe once more

Wow. I had no idea. Thanks Charles, Leonard, Chandler and DOB! It's good to be back. :-)

well, there are certain things I must do each morning, some universal while unmentionable, but one a requisite to my peace.

Is Timothy B Reilly still on page one?

it's a day.

Well, thanks, Charles. I am glad to see that our friendship beckons you to think of me and to see that I am where you expect me to be.

I really enjoy your Face Book postings. You should try to friend DOB as well, I really think that he would also enjoy your photos and events.

This is NOT a day . . .

off topic

I am preparing to upload shots to nuestramirada.org from yesterday's US Consulate sponsored PRIDE parade here in CJ

I do enjoy his pics - I don't think I have a flickr contact with more pictures!

yeah and I really got to do something about that
of course you know i got hundreds of interesting images frmo yesterday's US Consulate sponsored LGBT parade which I am trying to whittle down to under a dozen for nuestramirada.org

hard enough trying to learn to TAKE a picture, then you have to learn to THROW MOST OF THEM AWAY

I rEALLY got to go to flickr.com and DELETE about nine tenths of the photos there, too, over ten thousand

oh well they say your first ten thousand are the worst

kinda like here
too many reviews

look at Tim, not a thousand, I think but all big producers

must be my addictive personality type
could be worse
could be alcohol
or BINgo

I used to say that the difference between a good photographer and a great one could be summed up in one word: Editing. Never let them see your bad shots.

Editing in the camera is so easy now with digital. I delete probably half of what I shoot even before I take the card out of the camera. Great and wondrous times are these.

Ciaran says:
Very true, although film still forces you to stop and think about what you're shooting and how you're shooting it

I'm not going to complain, being a wedding photog, about being able to shoot 15 shots in a matter of seconds, 12 of which I know are probably junk :D

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 18, 2012, 2:44:04 PM PDT
I don't trust the screen on the camera back enough to tell me if every hair is in focus, so I wait to delete and then get lazy and just buy another chip. We'll see how long that can go!

Continuous burst is an amazing ability, another one I do not use.

the nuestramirada.org shots came down to fifty five

I counted pushing thirty

oh well.

I'll get a really outraged email from the present editor . . .

most folks just put up, half a dozen
fifty five . . .

oh well

until they get taken down for excess of pride

BTW, dudes, just the photographer here, ok?
Too old for ANY of this stuff of ANY diversity or normality

to paraphrase the great Yeats, Ciudad Juarez is "No Place for Old Men
the young in one another's arms . . ."
