Yes, those were the first two games to come out of amnesia fortnight (Iron Brigade and Once Upon a Monster were the other two.)

Thanks, THQ!

OP says:
Well, you kind of wonder what effect (if any) Darksiders 2 and Sleeping Dogs releasing on the same day had on their individual sales.

Darksiders II was amazing....It's sad to see that there may not be a third.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 6, 2012, 10:27:47 AM PST
Yeah, more for the lulz than anything else.

I also concur that Darksiders 2 was really good. It was a Day 1 purchase for me and it was totally worth it.

Its so much better than the first game.

Its dissapointing to see it didn't sell as much. I thought it would have done much better

Maybe everyone's waiting to buy Darksiders for the Wii U.

What? Stop laughing.

If I didn't own it on the PC I would absolutely be getting that version over the 360/PS3 one.

I have a backlog, I was waiting for $5 on PC

THQ's market cap has dropped by $250,000 since this thread was created. You couldn't even fund LOL with THQ now.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 6, 2012, 10:49:35 AM PST
I was happier in life not knowing this was a movie.

Harsh truths to be found within the VGF.

As of now THQ stock has dropped 50.33%. The market cap value has plummeted $720,000 since this thread was created and I'm out 50 cents on my THQ investment.

Oh no... This is not good for the game industry in the slightest. I hope EA or Activision don't gobble up THQ.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 6, 2012, 3:10:19 PM PST
I wish I hadn't clicked on that.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 6, 2012, 3:11:20 PM PST
I hope some company, or a number of companies, do. That would be much better for gamers than having a bunch of IPs no one has the rights to anymore.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 6, 2012, 3:14:43 PM PST
I just can't imagine any company in its right mind wanting to take on THQ's debts, employees, etc. It would make sense to let the company run itself into the ground and snatched up those IPs.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 6, 2012, 3:16:53 PM PST
That's what I meant.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 6, 2012, 3:20:56 PM PST
Well, I'll bet you a Klondike bar that Nintendo, Activision, EA and maybe Sony are eyeing some of those IPs. The tricks is getting those games to sell enough copies.

I wonder if Microsoft might end up buying the publishing rights to that South Park game, since they did give it a very prominent position in their E3 showcase next year.

Posted on Nov 6, 2012, 3:23:02 PM PST
New Saints Row
South Park RPG
Metro: Last Light

I need these games. Don't die now, THQ!

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 6, 2012, 3:30:20 PM PST
"did give it a very prominent position in their E3 showcase next year"

How do you know what they are doing NEXT year?!

Proof that DV is an Xbot!
