It's not what you're presenting, but the way you present it.

I never said you were heartless man. It's just not the time or place for that stuff. And all he said was something had to be done. He never said that more gun controls were the answer. Given what just happened, I don't think he was out of line saying that.

Don't pull the victim crap with me. Your problems on these forums are your own doing and it has little to do with your politics, it's your abrasive personality and your seemingly blatant ignorance that makes people dislike you, which includes me now. I don't even know why you bother coming to these forums since you can't seem to get along with pretty much anyone, even people who might be more aligned with your politics. You seem to exist here only to troll people and get a rise out of them by making absurd posts.

You are strong if you cry when it is appropriate, you are weak if you don't.

Yeah I've had my fill with him. I'm no liberal by any stretch of the imagination, which would seemingly make me his foe if I was, I just am fed up with the stupidity that comes from his fingers. There are few people on these forums who obfuscate issues as much as him, and pretend so hard to be informed, and fail so utterly at it. I'm 100% convinced he just likes to troll people now to make them angry.

Some people are so blinded by their political biases that they let it cloud their judgment on everything. It's pathetic.

My post got deleted for some reason:

I really don't think people really understand emotions. Men have been emotional for centuries: Going back to the Crusades, men crying in public, was a common occurrence. Let's go back to a more modern era: Lincoln. Men such as Lincoln and his counterparts cried a lot. They were really emotional and it was not frowned upon.

Unfortunately, society has deemed men showing emotion in public portraying sissiness. This is nonsense. It actually hurts the developments of males, and makes us less empathetic (perhaps, the shooter suffered from this along with a myriad of other issues). It also leads to bottled in issues, such as anger and depression.

Anyone who says that the president should not show emotion is foolish, plain and simple.

Just yanked this statement from a buddy of mine.

All I'm going to say on today's tragedy is that is is as bad a day as there could be. This is not the time to blame guns, too many or to few, atheists, the faithful, conservatives, or liberals. This is a day to tell the people you love how much they mean to you.

Me too man. I was at my kids preschool when I heard the news. Holiday party on the last day before Christmas break. A couple of the other parents and I just stood there stunned, looking at our little ones decorating cupcakes and singing songs. And within minutes, as more details started coming out, everyone was in tears.
