Misfit says:
Based on EMS ( Chinese international postal service ) and a base shipping weight of 3lbs. snail mail to the U.S. it calculates to 390 CNY or 62.74 U.S. dollars to ship a Vita. Based on Ebay fee's this is what the seller would be losing based on the 35.88 sale price.

Ebay/Paypal fee's 5.79

Fee% 21.56

Net profit minus - 32.65

This is assuming the product cost 0$ to obtain the seller would be losing 59.51
So there is no possible way this is legit unless this person loves to throw away money!

You'd be surprised how many counterfeit/offbrand electronics are available in SE Asia. When the Vita came out I was in Thailand and they had fake versions (but the retailer did disclose they were fake when I asked to look at one) for right around $50. They were functional though, but I didn't get to see if it played any actual launch titles.

They have high-quality offbrand tablets too...generally run for $100 or less with full access to the Android market, oddly enough. I have a Galaxy Tab so I've never bought one, but I have played with quite a few. I always test them out when I see a new brand like the iMobile or something.

Amount available just went from 7 to 9 when I refreshed. I was tempted to give it a shot, but not worth the time. Ebay may have to refund you, but the seller will keep your money and make a new account. These have all sold in the last 24 hours. The seller sold dollar stuff to build a reputation before selling a couple hundred of these for $35 a pop, we are talking thousands of dollars for nothing. Don't fall for it people.

GarionOrb says:
For $35, you could trade it into Game Stop or something for about $100-150 worth of credit if you already have a Vita, lol. It's almost worth it. I should see if they're selling any other expensive pieces of tech!

A customer says:
All that is horrible, I have one question though..

Who would order anything like that and go through all the trouble? I'd rather just go to store - spend 50 bucks more, and have it then.

In my opinion, if someone decides to take a chance on a sketchy item on ebay, denying their better judgement, then they deserve to get burnt on it...that's the gamble.

And I'm not trying to spin anything. Lying about not receiving something through post is fraud; legally and morally. Whether the box is empty or not it was still delivered by the courier. Just sayin....

The Vita listing now says this:

This listing was removed by eBay. If you already paid for the item, we recommend that you wait 10 days from the expected delivery date to see if the item arrives. If you did not pay,you are no longer obligated to pay for this item. If you have a problem with the purchase, you can resolve the problem by filing a claim through our resolution center.

Looks like somebody got hacked.

I think he's referring to this item: 300847764114

It was also taken down, but who knows how to find the info.

He needs to contact Ebay, not Zon's CD forums. I personally saw 4 different sellers with Vitas under $45. They all sold the same things - jewelry, then clothing, then electronics after they built up a high rating from $3-5 items.
