DVvM says:
"The 3DS isn't selling well either, so there's no necessarily a large untapped pool of potential customers" point is a strong one.

I'm on the fence with the 3DS since I don't play video games "on the go" but there are some 3DS games I would like to play so I might get one and play it at home, but the Vita doesn't really hold any appeal (for me, specifically.)

"I mean I got the PSP 3000 and have about twenty games for it already compared to the Vita with its four"

Well yeah...because when the PSP-3000 released, the platform already had several years worth of games out. The Vita's only been out for one year.

Failing? Well, it ain't a success as of yet.
Flawed? In what way exactly?

I can not except yore phrasing.

Exactly.

A year from now I wonder who'll be going on about how awesome the PS360 library is compared to the PSNextbox.

The same people who are going on and on about the 3 month old Wii U not having games?

Flawed- portable released by Sony
Failing- it's been out for almost a year and it hasn't even sold more then 4 million units.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 19, 2013, 1:55:53 PM PST
Me, I'll also have purchased and sold and repurchased each of them at least once.

>>Flawed- portable released by Sony<<

Makes sense.
Oh, wait. It doesn't.

It's flawed because it's been released by Sony?

How exactly does that make it a flawed system?

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 19, 2013, 1:58:04 PM PST
Yes the PSP game library is obviously larger then the PS Vita right now, but that wasn't the point I was trying to convey it was more the current entertainment and gaming value between the PSP and PS Vita.

Are you keeping your U?

On it's way to California. Bought it for $256, sold it for $280. Boom.

GarionOrb says:
That's not what you said.

---------------------------------------------------------

"I'm one of the people who bought the Vita when it was released last year and overall it isn't a bad portable system it's just one that hasn't really been as spectacular as the PSP. I mean I got the PSP 3000 and have about twenty games for it already compared to the Vita with its four, and while price for the games is a factor it's also that not too many Vita games have excited many gaming fans.

With the exception of these four games I've hardly really played the PS Vita as opposed to just my usual game consoles or PSP/3DS

Ragnarok Odyssey
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen
Gravity Rush"

---------------------------------------------------------

Your criticisms still fall under the umbrella of the PSP having a larger, more diverse library in its 8+ years on the market vs. the Vita's 1 year. Obviously, it's more difficult to find a Vita game that you find truly great than it is to find a PSP game.

Because Sony doesn't know what it takes to push a hand held, all they do is make powerful hardware and say look at all the bells and whistle and don't promote it. Look what Nintendo has done with the 3ds compared to the vita. Drop in price, works with 3rd party to get new games, and offer incentives to buy the system. Oh yeah, they actually have games to play on the system. I do not own a 3ds and I owned a vita, next handheld will be a 3ds.

How does being a sucky marketer make the product flawed?

You think you just made $24, but really that's the price of missing out on the FREE Rayman Legends Challenge mode coming in a FEW SHORT MONTHS!

J. Pardee says:
That does not make the system itself flawed though. Just comparing the two systems side by side the 3DS doesn't even compare.

I would completely agree that Sony hasn't pushed the Vita nearly as hard as it should be to get third party developers to put more games out on it but that's not the same thing as a flawed system.

GarionOrb says:
If anything, the 3DS is the flawed one as its missing a second analog pad and requires a bulky peripheral and dedicated game support for it to work. The Vita is quite simply the best handheld console ever designed from a technical standpoint. Given the right software, it can pick up more sales.

jnjmcc says:
Well it's just Sony in general, don't get me wrong love my ps3. They almost killed the ps3 the first 2-3 years of the ps3 life cycle. The biggest thing the vita has against it is that it doesn't have a system seller. They think they are behind now, just wait till pokemon x and y comes out.
I plan on picking up a 3ds xl luigis mansion and a free game from Nintendo. Oh and ill save it on my included memory card that comes with the system.

3DS doesn't care about porn people.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 19, 2013, 2:12:32 PM PST
Eh, I've had the Circle Pad Pro for a year now and I have used it for exactly three games and it's been over six months since I last used it. One of those three games is available on other systems. The games on 3DS usually don't require a second analog so I wouldn't consider that a flaw.

I agree that the Vita is very well designed from a tech standpoint but like I said, it was made for a market that existed in 2014.
