A customer says:
Is it fun via MP? I want a good MP military shooter that's pretty realistic.
I know quite a few people play Day Z here but I am wondering just standard MP. Are there plenty of servers, do a lot of people play?

If you're talking about needing food to survive and has perma-death, then yes.

Arma 2 is absolutely awful, not even a video game really but more of a military sim. I have never heard of anyone actually playing it without the Day-Z mod, so I doubt there are any dedicated public servers. If you want to play it multiplayer you will probably need to install Day-Z commander and use the mod like everyone else, if you haven't tried it yet it is really fun and I don't like zombie games either.

Sure it is. Ignore Hans above, as 99.9999% of his posts are negative troll crap.

It is very much a Military Simulator and there is plenty to play between the extensive campaigns, tons of user made mods, and of course Day Z.

Just hopping onto ARMA 2 and browsing the servers, there's about 50% Day Z, 20% Vanilla ARMA, and 30% other mods. There's some good ones though.

Look up Wasteland. It's like Day Z, but without the zombies. There's player factions, survival, etc. Is it a good game? Sure, once you get the hang of the complicated control scheme and such.

Also, take a look at Border Wars or Border Patrol. That one is amazing.

So you have never played it? Next.

@Capt, okay will do.

i'm not a big fan of the MP. i've tried a few of the mods and couldn't really get into them. DayZ is by far the most fun.
