I think it's more like the first episode is the "full game" and Eps. 2-5 are classified as add-ons. That's how they're listed on XBLA.

DVvM says:
Well, considering how well Minecraft sold on XBLA (it's north of 4.5m sales without a discount), it seems like the market can bear the game at that price point.

I mean, Castle Crashers only recently hit 3m sales on XBLA and that game's been out since 2008 and has been discounted multiple times.

Donkey Punch says:
For a game that you can easily sink a couple hundred hours into, I think $20 isn't too much.

i played the Demo for minecraft on the 360. it was good enough, but honestly, the pc version is far superior. and i'm not even talking about the fact that the 360 version is way behind on the game version compared to the pc version. i'm talking the controls. the 360 version is serviceable, but for minecraft, a mouse and keyboard is far better. the crafting is also odd, if you're used to the crafting in the pc version.

and this is speaking as a guy who games a good 80% of the time on his 360. there are some games that are just plain better on the pc. like minecraft. and Dragon Age Origins.

Anthony says:
yeah, definitely worth $20. even with the criticisms i mentioned it looked like it would be a pretty fun game.

I'm not saying it's a must-own, I'm just saying that when your game is selling better than any other game in the history of the XBLA platform, there's really no incentive to discount it.

true, other than being nice to your fans, anyway.

DVvM says:
I'm sure it will happen eventually, but sales have to slow down first.

Anthony says:
i wasn't talking about a permanent discount, personally, i was talking about a holiday sale.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 25, 2012, 2:19:23 PM PST
DVvM says:
Permanent discounts on XBLA are pretty rare. Most things just get a short-term discount in order to spur sales once things slow down for it.

The sale to day is Counterstrike: Global Offensive for 600 space bucks, or, converted to real money, 60 bits.

Edited for 12/27.

The Borderlands 2 pass is the best deal. $10 for Borderlands isn't bad but the GOTY version is $7.49 on Steam or you can get it in a 3-game bundle for $10.

Anyone know when seasons 2-5 of The Walking Dead will be going on sale. I just downloaded season 1 for free but heard that 2-5 will be going on sale any day now. I want to play them back to back to really enjoy the storyline.

Yeah, the 28th. I am hoping for 200 points ($2.50) each and make the entire series $10 for us. I wouldn't be surprised if they priced 2-5 at 240 points each though because that would make the entire story $12.50 which is what it costs on Steam.

Borderlands deal is live if anybody wants to grab that season pass.

Jawwaad says:
I heard it was a great 5 seasons and definitely want to play the entire game in one sitting. Maybe spend a day of it. I don't want to open my Walking Dead CE I bought from Gamestop, so paying around $13 for the whole game is a no brainer for me.
