The last one with Justin Long in it was all kinds of silly but somehow turned out to be good. I'll redbox this in a couple months.

Rockhardly says:
Gonna see it in about 2.5 hours or so.

Benpachi says:
Not the least bit surprised. They should have stopped after the third one.

After seeing 4 back to back with the others, it seems a lot better to me now.

Posted on Feb 13, 2013, 7:06:24 PM PST
I'll still see it down the road sometime. I'm a fan of the franchise and a fan of Bruce Wilis.

Rockhardly says:
...yeah, it was definately the weakest of the 5.

Don't wanna pass judgement quite yet - mostly because I've just spent about 11+ hours in a theater watching these things, so it probably wasn't getting a fair chance.

But - I will say that when looking at the series as a whole now, 1-4 seem to fit together better. 5 not so much, but 4 feels more like a Die Hard movie to me now than it did when I originally saw it.

John McClane hitting new lows. Just like our very own.

I enjoyed 4, but I'm a bit of a Bruce fanboi.

I think I saw somewhere that they are making a R.E.D. 2.

MrFoxhound says:
It's rated R which means it's already better than 4.

RED 2 is out in August. Pretty sure there is a trailer for it already.

Anthony says:
it can't be worse than Die Hard 2.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 14, 2013, 6:52:58 AM PST
I'm with RockHardly, 4 wasn't great but it wasn't nearly as bad as people think it is and it is still better than 2.

FOGE says:
I saw stuff being blown up in the trailer. Unless the explosion are replaced with rainbows, im sure id still enjoy it.

FOGE says:
That is awesome! Did not know they were making a sequel to Red. That was such a fun movie.

There's more than one?

Soulshine says:
The only thing I hate about 4 was that it made me realize I'm too snobbish about Die Hard movies. Now I know better.

Die Hard movies are great action movies. Within that group of movies you can decide which are better than others, but at the end of the day the worst one will still be a great action movie.
