So has anyone tried some of the user mods to extend the life of this game after the fact? I have seen a couple, and am interested in a controller support mod too.

I am thinking after some of my backloggery is handled, to play some more Terraria.

How would a controller work for Terraria? That game requires precision placement/removing of objects and it just seems a natural fit for a mouse. Wouldn't a controller hurt either precision or speed?

Well, they are porting it to the consoles, so obviously there is a way. ;)

So nobody has tried the user mods for this game?

Yeah, I knew about that but it still seems slower to me.

I haven't. I didn't even know there were mods.

I haven't finished the main game yet, so I have not tried user mods.

I hadn't heard of any mods for the game. that fact, along with them stopping development on it has kept me from getting it.

In all fairness Terraria does provide a lot of gameplay as it is. I have over 80 hours clocked on Steam and at least another thirty hours from offline mode.

Yeah apparently there are some pretty hefty ones that add a lot to the game. Maybe I should try to finish vanilla first, then look into those.

P. Iso says:
Obsidian mod is one of the major ones.
