They themselves are corrupted though. They aren't exposing any sort of corruption with the WBC because theirs was plain to see in the first place.

Please, enlighten us then if you are so informed about them. What good have they actually done?

You keep asking us to provide the burden of proof, yet you haven't explained any of your prior posts. I'm entitled to an opinion and most of the ways they have affected me personally have been in a negative light.

You claim that we are not familiar with the group yet you have not provided a single group of evidence that they have done anything worthwhile. I personally loathe the WBC but even I think this is a useless act.

I clearly have. They take down other company's systems preventing the company from doing business and preventing customer's from having access to that service. They took down Sony's system so customers didn't have access to it for a month. There is your proof.

Anonymous doesn't have a purpose, because Anonymous doesn't have an identity. Anonymous is the default user name for users of the world's largest imageboard, 4chan (circa 2003), which is widely considered to be the cesspool of the internet, even by channers such as myself. One of the oldest community identities that arose from this way of doing things was the idea that Anonymous was both one and many, unified by certain generalities that were stereotyped across channers in general.

True Anonymous movements, such as they are, started on /b/ (the "random" board on 4chan), which is widely considered to be the cesspool of 4chan--the trash of the trash. They consisted mostly of raids on other boards and various other websites, solely for the amusement of the /b/tards who participated in them. Honestly, that's probably the majority of what Anonymous, as a "hacking" group, still does these days. At some point some jerkass idealist whipped a bunch of /b/tards into a raiding party and decided he was going to enforce his ideals on other people, which is where the idea of Anonymous as some sort of vigilante cybercrime group first came in. But Anonymous--the real Anonymous--has no real identity, because the group dissolves every time whatever project it decided to undertake is finished (or many times before that), and only reforms (as a completely different group) the next time somebody manages to play pied piper to enough /b/tards to start something new.

Anonymous likes to call itself legion. What it actually is is a directionless, ever-changing mob that occasionally gets a head.

If you aren't familiar with their incident with Sony you clearly don't know that much about Anonymous as you thing. This was a fairly big issue which had articles all over the place here and every gaming website.

My personal data was included in one of their data posts. Not cool. I really don't care about the whole "for the greater good thing"

Also, DDOS attacks against various websites, game server hosts, etc.

How is flooding youtube with porn a good thing?

Anon bred those who turned into Lulsec, which caused the PSN shutdown.

Several major PS3 releases hit and they hacked PSN causing it to come down for a month. As such, a few indie devs lost a considerable amount of money as their games were supposed to launch on the store during that time.

Capcom games also weren't able to be played as they required a sign-in. Unencrypted personal information and passwords were posted to the internet of thousands of users.

For those of us that mainly used our PS3s for online gaming and streaming services in our living rooms, it became a paperweight for a month.
