I don't have a problem with Nintendo removing obscene images from Miiverse but removing this guy's drawing of Samus's arm cannon strikes me as a bit heavy-handed.

Yea, I dont understand it either. Someone would have to try really hard to think of that as anything different.

I've heard that there have been a few cases where the penis detection software has flagged things that weren't actually penises which could be the case here I think. I've seen numerous pictures of Samus blasting baddies and her cannon which haven't been removed. Hopefully this one gets reposted because it looks pretty good.

Good for Nintendo. If they bust people for stuff like this we should never have to worry about the obscene little kids and punks who inhabit the PSN and Xbox live.

If at least one company keeps their network clean, you won't have to worry when you try to play a video game with a little sibling or when you finally convince your grandma to try a video game. I had to go buy a microphone just so that I could connect it and stuff it in the drawer so that I wouldn't have to listen to the perverts on PSN and LIVE. At least Nintendo cares...

don't think it's any huge surprise that Nintendo will strictly monitor their public online stuff ... while it might seem intrusive, it does mean parents can safely allow their kids to use the online Miiverse .... I've been playing LBP Karting with my son, & we've left some races b/c of profanity & hate speech ... which while I'm playing with my child, I really dislike ....

"don't think it's any huge surprise that Nintendo will strictly monitor their public online stuff"

don't think it's any @#$% surprise that Nintendo will strictly monitor their @#$%$ online stuff

I removed huge because it could refer to a "huge penis" and public sounds too close to "pubic"

lol .... yes, I see that censorship could be taken too far, but some method to ensure a child friendly environment will be appreciated by many parents ... finding the right balance will be the key.
