I will gladly file a patent Tuesday for a hamburger today.

Well the thing is "hamburgers" are probably too general.

Also, you need the money to sue.

It's been ages since I tried out The Gunstringer so correct me if I'm wrong. Didn't that game require you to point your finger at enemies then an upward gesture to fire (simulating recoil?) Sony's patent application shows the player using the thumb to fire which is completely innovative.

So can I file a Patent for the Hamburger tomorrow? I figure if I can get half a cent for licensing on every hamburger sold, I would be rich in a hurry!

Something like 30% of all patents are redundant, similar to something else either already made or already patented.

DVvM says:
I mean, I'm not a patent lawyer. But it's my understanding that you can't patent something somebody else has already made. So this has to be different somehow, or the patent should be rejected by the patent office.

Oh boy, finger controls! I can't wait for Magic Fingers Presents: Massage Hero.

What's next, is somebody going to patent the air guitar?

Yeah they got the fun cornered but didn't know what to do with it.

Sony already has the market for fun in gaming cornered. People that play other systems are just doing it to be contrarian.

So what?is Gunstringer being pulled off the shelves for violating Sony copyright? I'm just waiting for Sony to copyright having fun while playing video games, that's a thing you can copyright right?

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 27, 2012, 7:35:18 AM PST
The difference is that this is just a patent, and will most likely never see the light of day.

They've had this patent since the mid 1700's if my memory serves me. Everyone only steals from Sony.

This implies that everyone uses their minds...

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 27, 2012, 5:33:27 AM PST
When the Wii came out and everyone jumped on it because it was so easy to use. Everyone can use their hands. Next up, gaming with our minds.

This is exactly why it's funny.

I don't know, Ive never played the gunstringer. I thought it was funny because of that Kevin butler commercial making fun of kinect when move came out.
