I heard the first one isn't too long, so I might want to rush through it before starting 2. Anyone here played 1 and can vouch for the length of campaign? I'd heard 8-10 hours from a co-worker.

To bad pc gaming and prototype are both terrible.

new Tron says:
PC gaming isn't terrible.

And even if the Prototype games are terrible, I won't feel too bad, considering I'm paying $7.50 for both.

Plus DLC.

I'm still deciding which thread is better.

Cinema Fan says:
The Prototype games are pretty fun. They're pretty mindless, but good for blowing off steam and just destroying stuff. That's a steal for both games.

Chris94 says:
Not my fault you can't afford new games.
And it's time to face facts, pc is terrible. Why would anyone play prototype on pc when you can play it on Xbox and ps3?

Cinema Fan says:
You do realize that you can hook a 360 controller into a PC, right?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 10, 2012, 5:59:16 AM PST
Chris94 says:
Exactly my point. Pc fan boys act like Xbox is terrible but they need a Xbox controller to play pc gaming.
It's a fail.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 10, 2012, 6:19:38 AM PST
I can play with any combination of mouse, keyboard and controller. 360 is fine too.
You are a fail.

A mouse and keyboard. So 1999.

Cinema Fan says:
But from a technical standpoint, the Xbox and PS3 are both TERRIBLE when it comes to a powerful PC. The fact you need a controller doesn't really matter, because the controller is just an input device, not the machine processing the information for the game.

They're not too shabby, actually. Just don't try and do the platinum time challenges because we'll miss you after your grisly suicide.

Edit: Holy crap it's like $90 now. They're good games, but not $90 good :)

Purchase the pack at work, went home and activated them. Before I installed them to my desktop, I went to the steam forums and saw that Prototype 2 had warnings out the bashoobi that it is extremely broken on PC. For $7.50, I can take the hit but I hope that it's at least playable.

And with the studio being shut down, its not too likely we'll ever get a patch either.
