I've had it sitting on my shelf since December, staring at me, taunting me. I kept starting up other games saying "after this one, I'll start Dark Souls". Last night, I finally decided to fire it up. I absolutely love Demon's Souls, but Dark Souls feels like so much more, even just based on the opening hours.
The music and the world are both so pretty, I think that adds to the difficulty, it's like you get lulled into a false sense of peace...and then you get punished for it. Once again, not remotely frustrating to die, the game forces you to think, and to obey the rules of the world. By doing so, the smallest of accomplishments feel like milestones. I can't wait to really dive in.
