My 10 year old preordered the swap force from toys are us. Attended the grand midnight release. Did jobs to save up the money herself for the months before it came out just to have it freeze up our wii. Continuously. Anyone know how to fix it? Doesn't happen with the giants.
Activision support here- just checking in to see if you're still running into a freeze after re-downloading the update! If you can, please do let us know, especially if you're still seeing a freeze ingame.

Hi Mary Ann, we wanted to let you know that we have another update for you and anyone else running into this freeze! We've made a change that addresses the problem. You can now play SWAP Force with your Wii connected to the Internet.

Help!! I have an extremely disappointed son. Everytime he puts a character on the new portal it freezes. We've done the update....twice:( We are using the Wii version. It's Christmas eve and the magic is gone....
Which character is it? We are having trouble with one again too. The update is not helping ours either. My daughter has kind of stopped playing and went back to the Xbox games. Our swap force is for the wii. Did you try to unplug it from internet? I heard that can help.
SwapForce freezes at the same point in the game for my 9yo daughter every time she plays, regardless of which character she's using. She gets to the same spot on a particular level and bam. Game is frozen and she must restart. No scratches or other blemishes on the disc. No other game does this. Wii has been updated several times.
The first two versions of this game were very fun to play with. VERY DISAPPOINTED with SwapForce. This flawed game is unacceptable. At this point, she's got about a dozen of the new characters and nothing to do with them. Will try the "disconnect from the internet while playing" trick... but not very impressed with this "fix."
UPDATE: Tried disconnecting Wii from the internet and that did not work. Next step: clean the lens. Hey Activision, you've put the F-U back in FUN!
I have had this problem. I have discovered (Wii version) that when the game freezes (provided it's not the loud buzz version of the freeze), you can either walk away and leave the game until Wii puts up the message about losing contact with the remote - if you hit the B button, it should unfreeze when the game resumes the remote connection. I've also tried unhooking the Numchuck when it freezes and have had the game unfreeze when I reconnect the Numchuck after getting the "connect the Numchuck" message.
We just bought this game and we're having a blast with it but when we made it to the final level at the forest and all the challenges are completed and Kaos is killed, the game just freezes and nothing works to get it back. This has happened 5 times now in the same spot after killing Kaos and cleaning the disc did no good and there are no scratches. Tried unplugging and plugging back in the nunchuck to no avail. It sucks that we made it all the way through the previous three levels only to not be able to finish the game. Feeling ripped off and unlikely to buy any more swapforce characters or games!
My daughter received the swap force for Christmas and it is freezing too. When we first put in the disk it did an update but we are talking about almost a year since the first post on this. The swap force that she received was purchased at the end of November 2014. Is Activision still putting the bad releases out there for people to purchase? Doesn't make sense that they would want all of this negative feedback!
We received swap force for Christmas as well and ours is freezing too. A TOTAL bummer, especially for a 5 year old boy. I have messaged Activision through Facebook - we'll see what happens. TOO much MONEY spent on something that doesn't work correctly.
