2 stars - 1 star for the gnat it caught on day 1 and 1 star for the couple or few gnats it caught the next day. this thing is super weird and super inconsistent in how it works. I tried an apple cider vinegar concoction on the very top of the unit and the critters just went in and around the concoction. Some got trapped. I put a cap of apple cider vinegar on the fan unit and that seemed to work better. Buuuuuuuuuuut the problem is, I literally saw some of the gnats/fruit flies crawling around the unit where the fan is supposed to suck them in. Are you freaking kidding me. Where is the suction. I'm not sure how the others got trapped when I watched with my own eyes the bugs just crawling around the fan and oops I guess a few got clumsy and fell in. I plan to give it a few more days and this bad boy is like going back to it's maker. I want it to get rid of the gnats, not just attract them. When I say not impressed.. not impressed at all. And the subtle hum of the fan is annoying. It isn't loud but it's really quiet at my house and I can hear it when I'm not even in the same room. Yikes.....
Update.. After a week or so, I'll have to say pretty good results. I sprayed my garbage can and around my sink. With the some apple cider vinegar in a cap for bait, it actually seemed to work pretty good. I literally have fewer knats/fruit flies flying around. There was even a decrease in other rooms so I think we're getting things under control.

I love this mosquito killer. We put it in our bedroom and caught one mosquito. Sometimes they creep in and bite my son, so this is definitely gratifying. I put our diaper genie in our guest bathroom and it started attracting small bugs, so I put the killer in there during the day with the door closed. It catches a few.Pretty good for the price.
