Product Description

Size: Small (8-14 lbs)

Each pair of gPants comes with one gPants pouch already snapped inside, but it’s a good idea to have extra pouches on hand for the diaper bag or changing table. Made with breathable nylon, the gPants pouch provides a waterproof barrier allowing your baby's delicate skin to breathe, for more comfort and less diaper rash. Pouches can be removed easily for quick changes. So you can change the pouch, not the whole pair of pants. Machine wash cold or warm. Air dry. Avoid excessive handwashing. No vinegar. No bleach. Pouches have a lifespan of 9-12 months with proper care, so buying extras helps spread the wear and tear. Extra pouches are available in packs of six, size S fits small gPants and size M/L/XL fits medium, large, extra-large gPants.

To ecofriendly parents who don't want to pollute the earth with plastic baby diapers:
This is the reason we use gdiapers; and I will admit, they are not as easy and absorbent as pampers, or other plastic diapers on the market that take centuries to decompose; yet they do work well and our family highly recommends them.
Here is what we do: we use about 8 outters, 12 plastic liners, we buy the disposable paper liners by the case (each one is about $0.30 a pop, comparable to plastic diapers), and we have 8 gcloths, and NOW WE ALSO USE GCLOTH LINERS TO MAKE THE DIAPER CHANGES FASTER AND CLEANER.
We use the disposable (paper, can be flushed) liner just at night, at daycare, or when we are not at home; otherwise we use the washable gcloth throughout the day. This used to be a messy affair when the wee one pooped, yet not we just put a gcloth liner on top, and peel and flush it during a change. It has a water permeable layer, yet keeps all the poo off of the washable cloth liner. Sometimes, a little poo gets on the edge of the cloth, but usually only the pee gets through. At about $0.08 a pop, this is well worth it. Once the wee one has pooed, we don't need to use the liners for a few changes, so we only end up using 2-3 per day. This saves us from scraping the poo off the cloth liner into the toilet (a nasty affair), it also saves $$$.
I like the fact that you can reuse the outter and plastic liner after a pee (and sometimes poo) without having to wash it (only having to wash the cloth inner liner). Fuzzy buns and other "pocket liner" systems require the entire diaper to be washed after each pee or poo episode. The diapers end up not lasting as long. Also, after many many washed, if the velcro gets fuzzies in it and no longer sticks, gdiapers will send you new velcro tabs for free. Nice.
I highly recommend this system to everyone... save $ (in the long run) and the earth.

We've been using G Diapers since my son was maybe 2-3 months old. He was a premie, so we had to wait until he was big enough to fit into the diapers. They are easy to clean, easy to change, look adorable, are good for the environment and at nearly 8 months old, he's never had even a hint of diaper rash. We use the Rockin Green diaper detergent and NOTHING ELSE. Never use regular detergents on cloth diapers and definitely never use fabric softeners or drier sheets! They create a barrier and cause the diapers to repel instead of absorb. I also love that the G Diapers are pocket style because you only have to wash 1, 2 or possibly all three components at a time. If its just pee, you can just change the cloth insert. If its poop, you can usually just change the cloth insert or possibly the insert and plastic liner. I only change the shell once per day or when it gets wet or a little poo on the edge. In 5 months, we've only had one significant blow out. That's far less than my friends who use disposables. And again... No diaper rashes! Love them! I usually get 10 shells and 18 cloth inserts. That way I never run out of shells and I do diaper laundry every day & a half. Just long enough to save up a reasonable size load, but not let stuff get too old and stinky. I use a hamper with a planet wise liner (wash the liner with your diaper laundry) and deodorize with a Moso Natural Air Purifying Bag. And I never have any odor. All of these things are available on amazon. :-). Good luck on your cloth diapering journey! :-)

The liners that came with our first 6-pack of diapers were edged with a woven synthetic, whereas these liners are edged with some type of solid material. I've noticed that there are less seepage issues with these liners.

*NOTE* We recently purchased a 6-pack of M-sized Gdiapers, and the liners that came with them have the solid (not woven) edging, so I'm guessing that Gdiapers updated their entire line, which is good.

We have been using gPants since day one of my little girls birth. This is my fourth child and my first time using cloth diapers. I must say, I like it. It's way more affordable than disposables and I feel good about the environmental aspects of using cloth. These pouches do wear out eventually; tabs get broken and they stain. Needless to say, replacing these every once in a while is nessasary. These work great. They take a lot of abuse and frequent washes. Bleach doesnt seem to hurt them.I recommend these to all of my friends with babies. But committing to cloth diapers isn't for everyone.

I absolutely love the gDiapers system, and these are obviously a critical part of the entire system. They are easy to use and wash easily, too. My only problem is that I didn't know I needed new ones until we started experiencing MEGA leak problems. Four to five times a day my daughter was leaking through the gPants. I finally got so fed up that I emailed gDiapers and they sent me back a list of things that could be causing leaks (which I keep in a drawer now. It's a great list.). On the list was that the pouches need to be replaced every twelve months or so. I didn't know that and we'd been using them for about 15 months. So we got the new ones and ta-da! No more leaks! We are back to loving our gDiapers once again.

This was my first foray into cloth diapers to see if I could help my 2 year old potty train quicker, be greener, avoid diaper rash from disposable diapers that rub his skin, and save some money on disposables. I found that the pouches are a mess to deal with when there's a poop. While the pouch can be reused after a pee, after a poop, there is no reusing the pouch - it gets everywhere but on the diaper cover. The elastic on the pouch shrinks over the poop and it is very difficult to keep it from getting dirty -- I have not yet succeeded. It is much cleaner to use disposables. And a different rash from diapers rubbing the wrong way just appeared in a different place using this diaper system.
