Its real.
I would assume adding an extract would produce an inferior product esp in chocolate. Mainly due to very little vanilla and mostly alcohol in an extract.

Personal opinion: far and away the best chocolate from a major manufacturer!

The same thing happened to me. I initiated an exchange/return and they said they would send the six bags. They sent one bags again. Same thing happened a few months ago, same seller; ‘Many Trees Enterprises’.

This is a 3 lb bag, not a 12 oz bag. But yes, still expensive at $40
