They’re counterfeit. I just read an article stating Birkenstock pulled all their merchandise from Amazon in 2016 because of other counterfeits of their products being sold via Amazon...the same article said Nike is ending its 2 yr run with them as well.

9-9.5 is 40, 10-10.5 is 41, 11-11.5 is 42, 12-12.5 is 43.

That said, Birkenstocks run large. I wear a 41 in most shoes but 40 fits me perfectly in a Birkenstock.
