However, it does not scratch off or flake like the old full Teflon. The Calphalon ceramic coated pans do not use PTFE. Please Google and make your decision based on the pros and cons. I feel very comfortable that it is not leaching into my food as long as I maintain it correctly, e.g. don’t scratch up the finish.
