The blades are not removable. However, there is little or nothing hiding under the blades and can be cleaned underneath with the provided brush. IMO it is a non problem

Almonds are very oily when cut. A food processor is not even the right tool. You need a nut mill or you will end up with almond butter.

I tried using the wet grinder with the two blades for fresh herbs like basil etc and it did need a few tablespoons water to get it mixing properly. It works fine and is sealed within but once you take the cover off don't put it back on and continue mixing. It works fine and is sealed within but once you take the cover off don't put it back on and continue mixing.
