Own three suede pair, and in my experience, I have gone down a 1/2 size each time, and by doing so the fit was perfect. I would suggest you purchase a size 8 based on you mentioning that you normally wear a size 8 and a 1/2.

Can't answer your question about restocking. I don't work for the company. But I strongly recommend the olive. Very nice color. I would definitely choose the smaller size. They do run large. I'm also a 10. I ordered the 9.5 and it fits perfectly. Very comfortable.

I purchased an eight and a half, I normally wear 9. The 8 1/2 fit perfectly

I wear a US 9, I have 3 pair and all of them are 8.5. That would be the correct size for you.
