5.0 out of 5 starsI am very happy I upgraded to this card! WOW!!
Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2012
Everything about this video card is amazing!! It was extremely easy to install, it runs very quiet, uses much less power than my old card, runs very game I throw at it on the highest quality settings and is able to power my two displays, no problem (1920x1200 and 1600x1200). I chose this card, because it is the "super clocked" version, which runs about 5% faster than the standard GTX680's, from all manufacturers.

I recently put together a new computer (specs at below) and replaced an nVidia GTX260 card. It would play all the new games, but I was unable to max out the video settings and get a decent frame rate. I purchased this GTX680 SC and WOW! I can put every video setting, on every game at the max settings and it runs them all at a great frame rate. Hands down, this card is a winner!

I ran 3DMark 2006 on my system with my old GTX260 card and it scored 18130. This new GTX680 SC scored 31669! It was great to watch the test average approx 200 FPS and seeing the max go above 400 FPS! Again, WOW!

EVGA is the only brand I buy and there is a reason for it - Great customer service and very reliable products. One thing I am disappointed about is, they used to offer a lifetime warranty on their video cards - Not anymore. The now offer a 3-year warranty. Every other card manufacturer also offers a 3-year as well, so I guess that is now industry standard.

My system specs:
Intel i7 2700K - 3.5GHz (OC to 4.4GHz)
2ea Intel 520 SATA3 180GB SSD (RAID-0 striped - Averages approx 1020 read!)
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 Motherboard
16GB CORSAIR Vengeance 1866MHz
EVGA GeForce GTX680 SuperClocked

3.0 out of 5 starsNot the best, but it is older.

I only used this card as a placeholder for my 1070, but in the time I had it, it was a decent card. It did okay with Rocket league, and ran 180 FPS on average, but with Arma 3, it ran 70 with multiple frame drops. I would only ever recommend this as a mining card or a temporary placeholder card until you’re able to upgrade.

4.0 out of 5 stars 1-year Warranty shipped not 3-year Warranty
Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2012

The EVGA GTX680 Super-clocked is a great card but Amazon didn't actually ship the model advertised. The ad says it is Model 02G-P4-2682-KR (The -KR means it comes with a 3-year warranty according to [...]) what shipped is actually Model 02G-P4-2682-B1. According to that same EVGA page that mean it comes with a 1-year warranty.
You have to look at a small Model number sticker on the back of the card to see if you received a -KR or -B1. Don't wait till it breaks in the 13th month to find out the warranty bad news. Check the back of the video card out of the box.

Customer service fixed my problem immediately. So, call them [(866) 216-1072]if you get the wrong model.
Fortunately I stumbled onto this Model number problem and got it fixed. Profit from my experience and Amazon will fix things up for you if you call. (Amazon is a great Company B.T.W.) They have always been great about fixing any product ordering issues promptly.

5.0 out of 5 stars I jumped ship to this Nvidia product
Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2012

During a new, high-end build, I decided to abandon the red cards for Nvidia, and the GTX680 was king of that hill when I bought. They were darned hard to come buy then, and I got a good deal on the EVGA, a brand I consider reliable and superior though I did have to pay above list price at the time.

I don't have the least regret and can only say this card has impressed me in every way. It runs cool even when hard used. In fact it runs flat out at about the same temperature my last Nvidia card would idle. I did tweak the fan curve for a more aggressive response, and the card never gets above 70 centigrade in any case.

The biggest surprise, and a testimony to the power of this card is that I run 10 BOINC projects all the time I use the machine. About half of them use the graphics processor. Sometimes as much as 98 percent. I have almost never had to shut them down to run my games. The card seems to do both at the same time and with no significant penalty to the game. There are some few games that are so intensive that they won't run well or will even crash to desktop, so that I do have to shut down BOINC on the graphics card when they run. But it's only a handful of them.

I plan to add a second card like this when I catch a sale.

The build was a Sabertooth X79 motherboard and a i7 3930 processor (six cores are dedicated to BOINC) with 32 Gigabytes of memory and a 750 Watt power supply. Lots of goodies added on, but that's the heart of it.

Enjoy this card. You would have to spend twice as much to better it significantly.

After a driver update, the GPU fan stopped working which then caused my graphics card to fry. Now I have a very expensive paperweight.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Card, Great support, Get Gaming!

I got one of these cards some months back to upgrade over a 560 TI SLI I was doing. The Card Solo was doing more than the other two combined and helped as a upgrade to render the new age effects coming out in some PC games. Haven't ran into any issues with the card since having it; is a nice compliment to the RIg I currently run.

As a special note to this review; I want to give a very big Thank you to the seller and definitely recommend picking up a card from them if your looking for one. They were very helpful in E-mailing me regarding a issue with the card BEFORE shipment; worked with me on solutions to handle the issue. Also, was able to include a free game and new warranty upon deliver of the card to make up for small delay. ( This all occurred within 2 Days time, set for standard delivery; got it bumped up to expedited delivery to arrive on time !! )

So if your looking for a card for current modern games; this one should handle just fine ( if a 780 is alittle too much to afford ), and again, big reps to the seller for stellar support.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great card for the right application.

I was still using the Nvidia 8800GTX. I bought this card to replace that one . I was a little disappointed at first because it didn't seem to do any better than the 8800GTX. It wasn't until I needed a card for 3D and blu-ray that I realized this was the right card

I would recommend this card to anyone that cannot afford the newer cards.

EDIT: Sorry, I was writing a review on the Nvidia 470 GTX. The 680 GTX is an awesome card! I run all of my games on ULTRA and they run superbly. That includes all of the newer games, including Call of Duty: Black OPS 2. I also have an Intel Quad Core Processor, the I5-3550 at 3.30 GHz. And 16 Gig memory. Anyone who knows computers knows that it is mainly the Video card that allows for games to be played at higher settings, the memory and processor are next.

I totally recommend this video card to anyone who can afford it. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Upgraded from EVGA 480GTX to the 680GTX Superclocked. What an amazing upgrade. Faster yet quieter AND runs cooler. I use it to drive an ASUS VG278H 3D vision monitor (1900x1080) and I still can't find a game to challenge it (with everything maxxed out).

Two thumbs up.

Added 9/21/2012:
Since I installed the card I began having periodic "Nvidia Driver Stopped Responding and has Recovered" messages which would crash my games. After clean installing the driver and numerous hours of experimentation and research I realized the card was running a little to hot and was getting unstable. Crashes would happen when the card reached 85C under load.

After using EVGA Precision X software to to tune the fan response curve it never gets over 66C even under load and crashes vanished instantly and completely. Remember this card IS overclocked out of the box(which stresses the components) even if you don't mess with that kind of stuff. My particular card was unstable at temps which only had the fan running at ~60%.
