Fine Rib Corrugated Floor Mats

Need a waterproof rubber mat that’s safe to walk on, even when wet? The corrugated Fine Rib runner mat is just what you’re looking for. Made from waterproof Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) and reinforced with textured ribs for traction, these 1/8-inch thick runner mats are top of the line in slip resistance for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Despite the intense durability of styrene butadiene rubber, these non-slip mats are lightweight for easy transportation, installation, and storage. They can be installed with double-sided tape or simply placed onto floors for more temporary usage. The fabric-based finish of these floor mat runners adds extra traction to sub-surfaces, keeping the mat in place without need for extra adhesive

About Styrene Butadiene Rubber

Rubber SBR is best known for its extreme traction, as it is also used to make tough products such as tires and boot soles. The grip of SBR remains reliable, even when wet, making it an excellent material for non-slip aisle runners in commercial buildings during the wet seasons.

Due to the light chemical resistance of SBR material, the mats are cleaned very easily; simply wash with water and a mild household cleaner without the fear of lost traction or degrading rubber.

Scraping Safety

Another great function of these corrugated rubber runners is their shoe-scraping capabilities. When a shoe is scraped against the rough rubber material, dirt and debris are scraped off and trapped down in the lower grooves of the mat. This not only cleans the shoe, but contains the filth to prevent it from spreading indoors or onto another pair of shoes. This also helps maintain a clean and safe walking surface until the rubber runner can be properly cleaned.

Unparalleled Traction

Rubber-Cal’s Fine Rib corrugated rubber mats are designed to be a safe walking surface with minimum possibility for slips. Many types of rubber become slippery and lose grip when wet, but SBR is a tough synthetic rubber material that remains reliable under any conditions. While SBR rubber offers excellent traction on its own, these rubber runner mats are reinforced with lengthwise ribs to draw dirt and moisture down below the actual walking surface. The grooves in the rubber provide extra traction for shoes, preventing slips even under heavy rainfall.

Rubber-Ca's Corrugated Rubber "Fine Rib" Rubber Matting is 1/8" thick industrial matting that is available in a 36-inch width and an assortment of lengths. This mat provides excellent traction and serves as a protective floor covering by safeguarding its subsurface. Carpet, wood, laminate, or tile flooring are well protected from foot-traffic, wet, or otherwise soiled conditions! These non-skid mats are designed with "Fine Rib's" to scrape debris and dampness away to provide a safer path to walk on. The ribbed matting is also very resilient, allowing it to stand up to heavy foot traffic while still maintaining its dirt and dampness trapping qualities. This protective floor covering is a great application for walkways in commercial and industrial settings where overwhelming damp conditions may be present. It can also be used as mats for garage, flooring for basement, or in workshops. As industrial matting, the fabric-based finish adds subsurface traction allowing it to remain secured to the floor while enduring foot traffic. Installation of the runner mats can be either permanent or temporary by using a double-sided carpet tape. They work especially well in transient locations as no slip mats since they are lightweight and therefore easily storable for frequent use. The mobility of this ribbed matting does not compromise its capability, and since these runner mats are made from synthetic rubber, they are completely water resistant floors. The material also offers moderate chemical resistance and can be cleaned with most common household cleaners, though are not recommended that highly caustic cleaning solutions such as bleach. Since the corrugations run lengthwise along these non-skid mats, foot traffic is inherently directed while maintaining a level of safety that can't easily be matched by other runner products. We've only had this mat for a couple months. Unwrapping it, the initial smell was fierce, a super-chemical off-gas. After two months outdoors in sun and rain, the smell appears to have gone. It remains to be seen if there is more off-gassing when summer rolls around and we have more sun. But it's a very useful non-slip surface, easy to work with. I noticed the winds kind of blew it around a bit, so ended up using small nails to hold it to our wooden steps (nails around the edges, about 6 inches apart). I think this will also keep someone from accidentally catching the mat on the edge of a shoe and lifting it, or tripping. It's easy to clean with a hose. I've ordered a couple more for separate wooden steps. I'll update this review after summer, and again after a year or so, with a report on durability.

It rolls and unrolls very easily and looks great, it’s heavy so it doesn’t shift when playing. And it’s durable enough to withstand all kinds of wear and tear.
No idea how good of a floor mat it is, but it makes a great gaming mat!
