I bought it in Area 51 themed Alien Jerky place in Bakersfield, CA. It is delicious and I had a LOT of laughter with my Russian friends. Born in U.S.S.R. byotch!
When I purchased this soda, I wasn't sure if it was going to be worth the money. It sounded interesting, it had a neat bottle, the gimmick was funny, but things like that tend to be disappointing in quality. I was wrong. As the product's title implies, it is surprisingly satisfying and simple. It is one of the only lemonades (or lemonade-flavoured sodas) I've tasted which was very smooth. The bottle is covered in amusing Soviet propaganda, which makes for a great collection piece. It arrived in very sturdy packaging and no bottles were damaged, and even arrived several days ahead of schedule. I wish it was available more often.
I first saw these products visiting Washington D.C. with my father many years ago and they have staid in the back of my mind since then. The soda itself is pretty good (you can't do much with sugar water, but this certainly sets the bar high). Each bottle is also fairly hilarious, with small, humorous captions written across several surfaces (including under the bottle cap). A little overpriced, but worth at least one buy to spread to your more "interesting" (read: strange and possibly single) friends.
This drink is a bit different from all the other drinks out there with the similar flavor.
The lemon taste isn't as intense, yet there's a calm and and satisfying lemon taste. It doesn't taste too sweet nor too light. So the whole way drinking this beverage doesn't feel like drinking lemon syrup. It's not bad.
As for the carbonation in the soda it's not as fizzy as most other fizzy beverages. It reminds you that it's a carbonated beverage yet can be enjoyed even by individuals that don't really like carbonated beverages.
I would give this product 5 stars but the sugar levels on the drink exceed some of the sweeter drinks out there on the market. There is probably ways to perfect a drink and minimize on the sugar levels however as for a health issue for some people the amount of sugars is probably not a good thing.
So this drink will stand at 4 stars out of 5.
Drinks can't be perfect but that's just my 0.02 on this item.

Bought this for a birthday party for my communist minded friend. There are a few different collectible bottle caps and the entire glass bottle is quite interesting. Tastes good as well. Bottles were packed well in a sturdy box.
I had bought this soda at a local store and instantly loved it. I found the packaging fun and amusing and the taste of the soda was excellent. I was happy to find it by the case here on amazon. Now I liked this soda for more then just the taste. The packaging was a key element. The version of this soda that was at the store and that is shown in the picture here on amazon is same. The bottles that I bought at the store and are shown here on amazon had the art printed directly onto the glass the art stretched all the way around the bottle having a picture of Lenin on the back with more soviet phrases and such. Very high quality and would be something I would serve at parties. The two cases I received though had no such quality. The bottles were just normal bottles you could buy at any store and had minimal art printed on paper and stuck to the side of the bottle. Very disappointed in this. Now its just expensive lemon lime soda with a hammer and sickle and nutrition information on cheap paper that tears easily. The art was half the fun so I would not buy again.
the drink by itself is pretty good. I drink about a quarter of the bottle then add vodka in it. Its great for mixing alcohol into, i guess that's why it says get hammered and sickled. To me its a good buy!
