Shower is great but the hose is stiff and curled up. For the cost of this product Delta could at the very least give a better hose. I had to keep the hose that came with the older Delta model I'm replacing, and use that instead of the stiff hose it came with. Take a look at the photo I took of the hose that this shower head came with. What are you supposed to do with that darn thing? It just stays curled up, SMH disappointing product :(

We bought 2 of these when we remodeled our bathrooms. This is great because it has a dual function. It is great to use the handheld to clean. Only downside is that it is plastic and not metal so it is pretty light but still works great and looks great up in the shower. Bronze color is very nice.

Installed the head without difficulty, attached the hose to the head and the handle, put the handle into the head position, and because of the weight and unrelenting curl of the hose, the handle falls out of the head without any effort at all. Totally useless, un-installed it, boxed it back up without ever running water thru it. What a terrible design, two tiny plastic "teeth" in the head try to grip two tiny flanges on the handle, and it just doesnt work. I am so sorry I didn't read the reviews before I purchased this. Delta should be ashamed. Interstingly, the instructions revealed two other models of nearly the same design that lock into place by inserting and pulling down.

Purchased thru Amazon, fullfilled by DealYard, contact Customer Service, they informed me thabecause I had taken the unit out of the package and installed it, I could not return it. According to their return policy, the merchandise must be in the original mfg. sealed pacakging. OK i don't know that, and would never have been able to find out how crippled the unit was until I took it out of the packaging. They gave me Deleta's 800# and said I had to take it up with them. DealYard will not be getting any more of my business. I'll pay the extra few bucks and by from Lowes or Home Depot in the future.

I called Delta, and explained my dilema, that the unit was poorly designed/faulty, and that DealYard would not take the unsed unit back. The CSR took my information, put me on hold for a minute, and came back on the line in less than a moinute, to tell me that "they had identifed problems in the older units", and that they would send out a replacement to me. We'll see once it arrives if they have in fact fixed the design flaw. "Stay tuned, film at eleven."

Update: The replacement unit arrived from Delta today via FedEx three days after talking with them, and it works! The previous version was defective, this one has the same handle but locks into place with a loud click. You have to be sure and push it all the way, with a bit of force. I let the hose hang out before insatlling it and it seems to have helped to get rid of the curl the hose inherits from packing.

This handset and rain shower attachment is great. I read some reviews about the handheld falling off but we have not had any issues with it at all. The handheld slides on well and it actually quite secure once inserted correctly. We have a low ceiling that this was attached to and previous our handheld almost attacked us with a bursting stream of water that was strong for the little one. This two in one softens the stream of water and our 20 month old now loves to take showers in our bathroom because he loves the rain feel of the water. In addition to the both shower and hand held being on for a full shower feel, there is a lever to switch from the outer rim shower only mode to hand held only as well as rain shower outer rim only as well, which is convenient. When in handheld only mode there are 4 streams of water that can be selected which is great for washing as well as a water stop button which works well with little children so you can hand them the handheld while washing them. Overall this two-in-one is great, works quite well and we love the oil rubbed bronze color which matches the rest of our bathroom fixtures beautifully.

Less expensive in store at the "Orange Big Box Store". This model has a lot of plastic to it. The spray is great, the functionality is great. The selector switch on the side has a hidden middle position. The middle position does not click. The middle position sprays to both the wall and the handheld simultaneously. I've had my new showerhead for a couple months now and I really like it. I was concerned about getting it because of a couple of complaints some reviewers had and I'd like to address that.
1. A common complaint is that this showerhead combination has very low water pressure. Well, if you want a vigorous needle-like spray, this is not the showerhead for you. Because of the size of the unit and the number of holes, it provides a nice, gentle rain-like spray that covers a lot of area, which is just what I wanted. It feels so good. If I want a little more pressure, I turn off the outer spray and only use the hand spray. I find it to be a perfect combination for me.
2. There have also been complaints that the hand spray pops off too easily if it or the hose is bumped. Let me tell you, I have institutionalized clumsy. I'm 6'4" and crowded into a shower that is only 3' by 3'. It's tight in there and if anyone is going to cause the hand spray to pop off by bumping into it, I'm your guy. It hasn't happened. You do have to take a little care in replacing the hand spray, however, by pushing it up and then back until it clicks solidly into place. I haven't experienced any problem with it.
3. The hose for the hand spray was wound very tightly in the package and when it was first installed tended to curl up and out away from the wall. After a week or so, the flow of warm water caused it to relax and it hangs properly now against the wall.
All in all, this has been a great buy. I feel this is an ideal shower head combination for someone who has a relatively small shower and likes to luxuriate with a gentle rain-like shower. It might get lost in a shower-tub situation and will not satisfy someone who feels the need for a vigorous, needle-like shower spray to wake him/her up in the morning. To each his own.
