First negative review on Amazon and I order a lot of stuff. I am a radio technician and have never seen such poor quality in a cable. Ground shield is not connected at all - should be soldered. I ordered many of these - all identical. All junk. Ground shield just haphazardly stuffed into connector / wrapped around center insulation core - see photo. From RigExpert meter reading - Photos attached - you can see the change from direct open to direct short simply by moving the cable a bit. Multimeter tests yield the same result. This is absolute garbage. Best case scenario the ground shield is never connected yielding poor performance. Worst case - the connectors short out destroying your electronics. If you are not ready to cut the PL-259 ends off and solder your own on - DO NOT PURCHASE. These should not be considered completed cable assemblies and should only be purchased by qualified radio technicians who test and repair the PL-259s before use.

The only dislike was the flexibility of the cable, very stiff, non-like the RG-8X cables I have worked with in the past. I have not seen the specs, just wonder if center conductor is solid rather than stranded.

Landscaper accidentally tore up my RG8X with a chainsaw and I needed a quick fix to get it out to the tower. This came right away and has decent connectors on it. (Not molded plugs) It worked for me.

Havent had the chance to use yet as theres too much lightening action going on and still need grounding cable but the polle and antenna are ready to be stood up hoping for good vibes on the ole airwaves

I liked the coax, it came quickly and serves the purpose, but I took resistance measurements from end to end on each conductor before I installed it through my attic and on the roof and and found >2 ohms on each conductor. The PL-259 connectors were merely screwed onto the shield, there was no real quality connection there. Certainly not enough quality to withstand time and weather - or the amount of power I will pump through it!

I pulled them off and soldered on high quality PL-259s on the cable to correct the resistance and secure the signal (reduce loss). If you are handy and confident in soldering PL-259s on, then it's still a value, otherwise spend more to get a better cable if you're concerned with losses, SWR or running power.

This coax is advertised as having a stranded center conductor. It does not.
The center conductor is solid making the coax very stiff and not at all flexible.
