Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Highly recommend these. I used them for a roof rack build on my van. They’re light weight but very strong and well built. I plan on buying more when I add more crops beans to my roof rack for solar. Great product. Took me awhile to find these on Amazon.
I bought 8 packs of 4 of the 78x78mm brackets. They arrived undamaged and very well-packed. The brackets are solid and heavy duty. These could have easily been 5 star brackets except for two problems. First, the edges on the brackets I received were crazy sharp. Initial handling of the first pack I opened left me with two fingers that had slices which felt like paper cuts. At that point, I realized that I was going to need to dull or chamfer every edge of all 32 brackets with a file or sandpaper before I could even use them. After a couple hours of tediously sanding every edge of all 32 brackets, I started installing them to reinforce the frame I had constructed using aluminum extrusions. When I started mounting the brackets to the extrusions using the included bolts, I couldn't get the hex key to turn the first bolt. Looking more carefully, I noticed that the hex socket on the head of the bolt was too shallow to insert a hex key. The socket was only about 0.25 mm deep. It was more like a line outline of where the socket was supposed to be, instead of a hole for inserting a tool. I tossed that bolt in the trash and grabbed another from the bag of bolts which came with the brackets. The hex socket on that one was too shallow, just like the first one. The third one I tried actually had a usable hex socket on the top of the bolt. So, it went back and forth like this between good bolts and trash bolts without sockets through the entire installation of the 32 brackets. Overall, it turned out to be about 1/4 of all the bolts which weren't usable. I've never seen this many faulty bolts in one purchase before. Quality control must have been on vacation at the bolt manufacturer. Luckily for me, I have cabinets full of hardware to pull from when I don't get enough usable bolts in something I'm building. It's a shame the edges were too sharp and a quarter of the bolts were unusable. The brackets would have been perfect without these two problems.
The product (7878 version) is exactly as described. Incredibly solid - actually the most solid 2020 bracket I’ve ever come across.
Update: also ordered the 3750 version for 2040 profiles. Like the other product, once again very solid. Would recommend, though I wish the prices (currently $19/ 4pack) were a bit lower as I’d like to order about 8 more sets of 4, but would put the project over budget.
You don’t have to slide the nuts in before you assemble, but it’s a bit tricky to get the nut turned 90 degrees and locked in. With that said, it would definitely be more frustrating to have to disassemble because you forgot to slide in a nut, than using this product.
Le ho comprate per arrangiarmi su una cnc, ed ho trovato che sono a dir poco utilissime e resistenti. Sonodi dimensioni molto ragionevoli e di uno spessore che funge da gran tenuta. Peccato il prezzo. Comunque ottime
