These extrusions came nicely packaged and wrapped with no burrs, no scratches or defects, and no loose aluminum shavings. So far so good.

However, I use M8 spring ball T slot nuts designed for 4040 profile which have dimensions of 22x8x9mm. This profile has channels that are much too deep to engage the spring ball to secure the nuts during assembly. I wasted a lot of effort last night struggling to get by with them and it was an exercise in futility.

This morning I realized that the leaf on leaf spring T-nuts is quite large and might work. Sure enough, they worked with absolutely no fuss. So there you have it: No go for spring ball but great for leaf spring.

Its a bit my fault, I looked at the main picture and thought it was silver. But, upon arrival, it was black... About to return it, I looked again and noticed the other pictures show black.... Even the description didn't have black in it. Other than that, it was perfect.
