When do I receive all of my benefits and limited time offers?
Most of your benefits and limited time offers will be delivered via email throughout your baby registry experience. That means you can get an emailed reward on day one all the way up to registry completion! Make sure in your Amazon Baby Registry -> Manage your settings -> Permissions and Preferences that you have checked “Yes!” to receive emails from us.


If I become a Prime member a month after I start my registry, will I receive benefits?
You will get some of the standard Prime benefits at any time you start, such as the completion discount, diaper discount and free two-day shipping. You will also receive the e-mailed rotating limited time offers after you become a Prime member. Benefits vary; examples include a free eBook, discounts on Maternity and promotions for Subscribe and Save.


I already have an active Baby Registry and am a Prime member, will I still receive these benefits?
You will still get your standard Prime benefits, such as the completion discount, diaper discount and free two-day shipping. You will also receive occasional e-mailed rotating limited time offers depending on where you are in your registry creation (as they are sent anywhere from creation date to event date). Benefits vary; examples include a free eBook, discounts on Maternity and promotions for Subscribe and Save.

What is a universal registry?
Sometimes you'll find things you want to add to your registry when you aren't browsing the Amazon.com website. That's OK--you can still add those items to your Amazon Baby Registry with the Add to Wish List feature in the Amazon 1 Button App, an easy-to-use add-on for your browser.

Creating and Updating a Registry

I just created my baby registry. Why doesn't it come up when I search for it?
  • It may take up to six hours for your new registry to become searchable.
Will my guests be able to access my Amazon Baby Registry from other baby websites?
  • Amazon Baby Registry has joined up with TheBump.com to make it easier for your guests to find your Amazon Baby Registry and your other registries all in one place. Your registry will now appear with any other participating registries you may have at TheBump.com, the place to go for the inside scoop on pregnancy and everything baby and the most active mommy community on the web. It may take up to 72 hours for your newly created registry to appear on TheBump.com. If you would prefer that your Amazon Baby Registry not be shown on TheBump.com, please update your preferences.
How can I edit my created baby registry?
  • You must be logged in to edit your baby registry information or add items. If you find your registry by searching for it but are not able to edit it, try signing in (if you are not already), or try signing in with a different account. It's possible to have multiple accounts at Amazon.com under the same e-mail address. To sign in, click the sign-in link at the top of the registry view ("If this is your registry, click here to sign in"). Normally when you add items to or purchase items from your registry the changes appear online almost instantaneously.

    Note: Updating an address in Your Account will not change the shipping address on any open orders you have placed, or the shipping address on your Wish List or Registry . If you need to change the shipping address on an order that has not entered the shipping process, go to Change Order Information.
Can my co-registrant edit our registry?
  • You may opt to give your co-registrant editing permissions for a Baby Registry when you enter your Registry Information for the first time or edit the permissions after a registry is already established. To give your co-registrant permission to view and edit your Baby Registry when logged into her/his personal Amazon.com account, follow the steps here .
Can I see who purchased items from my baby registry?
  • Items purchased directly from your registry will be displayed in your Thank You List (available from the owner's view of the registry).
How can I tell my friends and family about my Amazon Baby registry?
  • Click on the "Share with Friends" tab located at the top of your baby registry. An e-mail form that contains a direct link to your baby registry can be filled out to send to one person, or an entire group of people. For your convenience, we have provided a message for you, but you can write your own note if you prefer. Finally, you can direct guests directly to www.amazon.com/babyregistry where they can search for your registry by name.
Can the items on my baby registry be shipped internationally?
  • Some items are not available for international shipping. If your baby registry or the registry you are purchasing from has an international shipping address, you will be notified when you place your order if the item cannot be shipped to that address. See our shipping policy to learn more.
How will I know if items on my baby registry have gone out of stock?
  • If an item you've added to your baby registry is no longer in stock, you will see the message "This item is currently unavailable" under the price of that item at the right-hand side of your list. If you'd like to remove the out-of-stock item, click "Remove" to the right of the product information, then click "Save All Changes."
How can I find out if an item from my baby registry has been recalled?
  • Because your baby's safety is important to us, we have created a Product Recalls page. If you aren't sure about an item, check this page before adding it to your baby registry.
Adding Items to Your Registry

How do I add an item to my baby registry?
  • Any item for sale at Amazon.com can be added to your baby registry. Start by browsing the website or searching for items you want. Once you've navigated to an item's product detail page, click the button on the right side of the page with the words "Add to Baby Registry." The product will then be automatically added to your registry. Visit your registry to change desired quantities or to delete any items. Please see our help page on creating your registry for more information.
How do I add an Amazon.com Gift Card to my registry?
  • You can access the Amazon.com Gift Card page here. Once you are logged in, the ‘Add to Baby Registry’ button will appear on the right side. Select your denomination and click 'Add to Baby Registry'.
One of the items I want to add to my registry is being sold by another website. How does this work?
  • Using the Add to Wish List feature of the Amazon 1 Button App, you can add items to your registry from any website you visit. To get the button, download the Amazon 1 Button App . It should only take a few seconds for the button to be added and appear in your browser's tool bar.

    Once you see the button, it's available for you to use immediately. When you're browsing a website and you see something you want, just click the "Add to Registry" button in your tool bar. You'll see a confirmation screen, and the item will be added to your Amazon Baby Registry.
How do I copy items from another Amazon Baby Registry to my Amazon Baby Registry?
  • Search for any public Amazon Baby Registry using the Registry Search page. (Note: The ability to copy an item only works for Amazon Baby Registries, not for Wedding Registries or Wishlists.) Once on the search page, select "Baby Registry" and enter the name of a friend or family member to find their Baby Registry. (Their Baby Registry must be set to "public" for you to be able to find it.) Alternatively, you can browse to see what other expecting parents are registering for on the Showcase Registries page.

    Once on another registry, if you would like to copy many items at once, go to the "Copy Items to My Registry" link in the upper lefthand area of the page. Once you click on this, a tool will pop-up that allows you to select one, many, or all of the items on that registry. You will see a confirmation at the top of the page once all the items you have selected have been copied to your registry. If you would like to copy a single item at a time, find the item you are interested in on the registry, look to the right to the “Options” button. Click on that button and select “Copy Item to My Registry.” You will see a confirmation once you have added that specific item to your registry.
Deleting a Registry

How do I delete a baby registry I no longer need?
  • At the top of your registry, click "Manage your registry" and choose "Your registry information" from the drop down. At the bottom of the page there is a "Delete your registry" button. Once clicked, you will be asked to confirm this action.
Purchasing from a Registry

What information is included on a gift-order packing slip? Will the recipient see the price?
  • If the order was designated as a gift at the time of purchase, the packing slip will not display any prices. Each gift shipment is sent with a packing slip that lists only the following information: purchaser's name and billing address, items included in the shipment, and the gift note (if the giver enclosed one).
Will the baby registry owner know that I bought them a gift even if I don't add a gift card?
  • All gifts purchased directly from a baby registry are recorded for the registry owner in their Thank You List. This feature tells the registrants which items were purchased for them and who purchased each gift.
Can I get Super Saver Shipping on the gifts I purchase?
  • If you purchase baby registry items that are sold by Amazon.com (and not a third-party seller), your purchase may qualify for Super Saver Shipping. Some restrictions apply, so please see our shipping information for more details.
Can I get Amazon PRIME Shipping on the gifts I purchase?
  • If you purchase baby registry items that are sold by Amazon.com (and not a third-party seller), your purchase may qualify for Amazon PRIME Shipping. Some restrictions apply, so please see our shipping information for more details.
One of the items on my baby registry is being sold by a merchant other than Amazon.com. How does this work?
  • You can add any item available for sale on Amazon.com to your baby registry. Some items you may come across will be offered by Amazon Merchants like Target, Baby Universe, or BabyAge. Amazon Merchants are independent, third-party sellers who offer a variety of merchandise for sale through the Amazon.com site. When your guests purchase from one of these third parties, their order will be fulfilled directly by the merchant, who also handles all customer service, including returns. In many cases, a single item may be offered by both Amazon.com and one or more Amazon Merchants. In these cases, your loved one may decide which seller to purchase from. The gift I want to purchase is being sold by a third-party seller. How does this work?
  • Many items for sale on Amazon.com are offered by independent, third-party sellers known as Amazon Merchants or Marketplace sellers. When you purchase from one of these third parties, your order will be fulfilled directly by the merchant, who also handles all customer service, including returns. You will make your payment, however, through Amazon.com using Amazon Payments. The vast majority of third-party orders are covered under the A - Z Guarantee, which ensures that the mom-to-be will receive her gift in good condition and in a timely manner.

    You may notice the phrase "Gift options not available" (i.e., gift wrap or a gift card) underneath items offered by Amazon Merchants. Please note that the recipient will still know that gift is from you, as every baby registry contains a "Thank You List" feature that lists all items and their purchasers.

The gift I want to purchase is a universal item and appears to be from another website. How does this work?
  • When you browse a registry, you may see non-Amazon items listed with a "Shop this store" button in the universal item category. If you decide to click the button to purchase an item, you will be given the option to "reserve" the item for purchase before being taken to the website where the item is sold.

    When a universal item is reserved on a registry, it is added to the purchased section in the gift-giver's view so that others will know it is spoken for. It's like calling "dibs" on a gift (but only on the Amazon.com registry). By reserving an item you are indicating that you intend to purchase that item from a store or website (either the one listed or another retailer). Remember, after reserving an item you must still go to the store or website where it is sold and purchase the item -- this transaction will take place outside of Amazon.com.

    Once you purchase a universal registry item from another website, the seller of the products on that site will charge your credit card, ship the product to you (or to another address you choose), and handle all customer issues. Amazon.com has no control over your experience once you leave our website, and the A-to-z Guarantee does not apply to these orders.
Tracking Packages

Can I track a package that someone bought for me from my baby registry?
  • At this time it is only possible for the purchaser to track a package. Please contact customer service to get information on packages that are being sent to you as gifts.
Returning Gifts

Can I return gifts purchased from my baby registry?
  • Returning gifts is simple. Visit our Online Returns Center to print out a mailing label, and then mail the package back to Amazon.com. Don't forget to save your packing slip, as it's helpful to have the Order ID handy when you request the mailing label. Once the return is received, you'll be reimbursed the original payment method or an Amazon.com Gift Card for the value of your return. Please visit our Gift Returns Help pages to get all the details.
How do I return a gift purchased from a third-party seller?
  • For orders placed through a third-party seller, customer service (including returns) is handled by that seller. If your gift was shipped directly to you, it should have included a packing slip with the order number (e.g. 123-1234567-1234567). You can use this order number to create a self-service return through the Amazon Online Returns Center (amazon.com/returns). If you do not have the order number, you can contact Amazon Customer Service for assistance if the gift was purchased through your Baby Registry.
How do I return a gift purchased from another website and not Amazon.com?
  • For gifts purchased from stores or websites other than Amazon.com, customer service (including returns) is handled by that seller. Amazon.com has no control over your experience once you leave our website, and the A-to-z Guarantee does not apply to these orders.
Your Completion Discount

What is the completion discount?
  • The completion discount is a discount on select remaining items from your registry and is available to redeem 60 days before your child’s arrival date. The discount can be used on up to two orders of up to $2000.00 USD combined value. The discount can only be redeemed by the primary registrant.
How much is the discount?
  • You will receive a 10% discount, or up to 15% if you are an Amazon Prime member, compliments of Amazon Family.
How do I get a 15% completion discount?
  • To be eligible for a 15% completion discount, you need to be an Amazon Prime member. If you are receiving the Prime Shipping benefit from another customer, you will need to upgrade your Prime membership to become eligible for the 15% completion discount.
  • You can join Amazon Prime or upgrade your membership at any time at www.amazon.com/family.
  • If you cancel your Amazon Prime membership, you will no longer be eligible to receive the 15% discount, however you may still be eligible for the discount at 10% as a registry owner without an Amazon Prime membership.
How does my Completion Discount work?
  • You will be eligible to redeem the discount 60 days prior to your child’s arrival date (this is the arrival date you have indicated on your registry). *Please note there is a minimum 14 day wait period after you create a registry to be eligible, regardless of the arrival date you have indicated.
  • Once eligible, a message will appear at the top of your registry directing you to your completion discount view. Any items that appear in this view are eligible for the discount and must be added to your cart from this view. The discount will then be applied at checkout.
  • Your discount can only be used once. All items you intend to buy with your completion discount have to be purchased at the same time.
I am within 60 days of my child’s arrival date, but I don’t see my discount?
  • If you are within 60 days from your child’s arrival date, as indicated on your registry – there will be a message at the top of your registry that will take you to your completion discount view. If you are not seeing this message, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • You are not within 60 days from the arrival date you have indicated on your registry.
  • Your registry was created less than 14 days ago (there is a 14 day wait period after creating a registry before you are eligible for the discount, regardless of the arrival date indicated).
  • You already fully redeemed your completion discount (the discount can only be used up to two times for up to $2000 aggregate value).
  • You can view and edit the arrival date on your registry from Your Registry Information.
When will I receive my discount?
  • If you are the primary registrant, a message will appear at the top of your registry 60 days prior to the child’s arrival date you have indicated on your registry (please note your registry must be active for 14 days before you are eligible.) The message will take you to the Completion Discount view of your registry.
How do I redeem my 10% Completion Discount?
  • Click on the message that automatically appears at the top of your registry 60 days before your child’s arrival date. Add items to your cart from the completion discount view and your discount will be applied at checkout (10% discount, or 15% if you are an Amazon Prime member.
How do I change the quantity of an item I already added to my cart?
  • To change the quantity of an item, first delete the item from your cart and then add it from the completion discount view with the new quantity.
Which items qualify for the discount?
  • The Completion Discount applies only to select Baby items. These eligible items are reflected in your completion discount view. The discount does not apply to Universal Registry items.
What happens if I change my event date after my discount eligibility period has started?
  • Changes to your event date after your discount window begins will not change the start and end date of your completion discount.
What are the restrictions?
  • The discount amount is 10%, or up to 15% for registrants who are Amazon Prime members. It can be used up to two times on up to $2,000 USD aggregate value and applies to items sold by Amazon.com or Fulfilled by Amazon that appear in your Completion Discount view which you can access from your registry once you are eligible for the discount. The discount can only be redeemed through the Amazon account of the primary registrant. To receive a 15% discount, you must be the primary registrant and Amazon Prime member in your household. The discount is valid 60 days before the child’s arrival date indicated on your registry and for up to 60 days after. Please note your registry must be active for 14 days before you are eligible. You are only eligible for the discount once in any 8 month period. There is a maximum purchase amount of $2,000.00 US Dollars ($300.00 discount with Prime Membership.) Be sure that you have all the items from your registry you intend to purchase in your cart before you checkout.
