4.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the UK version. Still good., May 17, 2011
This review is from: Top Gear US: Season 1 (DVD)
Top Gear UK is one of my favorite shows on TV. I was very excitied when the US version launched on the History Channel. Just like the Austrailian version, its not as good as the UK version. You really just can't replace James, Jeremy and Richard. They are some of funniest people on TV. However Adam, Tanner and Rutledge are still solid hosts. Tanner of course being a professional Rally Car driver and stunt car driver could have been The American Stig and has experience on auto shows as he appeared in a few shows on The Speed Channel. Rutledge is very funny as he is on Speed Channel's NASCAR coverage. Adam completes the trio and just like his co-hosts is funny. But the US version's biggest flaws are the lack of originality and the lack of humour as seen in the UK version. As for the lack of originality the 5th episode of this series resembles quite obviously the British Leyland Challenge. And of course this US version has to worry about offending certain people and is perhaps more "politically correct" than the UK version. Obviously the humour suffers as a result of that. Still I have found it to be one of my favorite TV series as it focuses on American cars and is for Americans. I'll still watch the UK version but I have found a 2nd favorite TV series.

5.0 out of 5 stars By far the best Zam action figure yet., April 24, 2011
I was very excited when it was announced that Hasbro would be making a Vintage Zam Wessel because there are only 2 other Zam action figures. The 2002 AOTC and the 2001 AOTC preview pieces. Niether was very good but Hasbro has made up for that with this piece. Amazing detail and just like many Vintage pieces this comes with several accessories as seen in the film.

Zam includes:
blaster pistol
sniper rifle
2 removable face covers(I don't know what else to call them)
2 heads (1 human and 1 clawdite)
removable helmet

Unlike the previous 2 Zam action figures, this one is properly articulated. Goes great with 2011 Vintage Jango Fett.

5.0 out of 5 stars Goes great with other Mandalorians, April 24, 2011
I am a huge fan of Boba Fett and Jango Fett so I had to get Jodo as he is a Mandalorian. I got one at Kmart for a good price. As mentioned by another reviewer this is a repaint of Boba Fett yet there are some differences. Obviously in colour and the fact that Jodo does not come with a cape as Boba does. The only complaint I have is that the belt is assembled backwards. Don't let that stop you from buying this cause its a great piece. Great figure if you are a fan of Mandalorians.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Jango ever., April 24, 2011
I was a fan of last year's Saga Legends Jango but this is by far the best Jango Fett action figure yet.

He comes with:
removable jetpack with missle
removable helmet
2 Jango blasters
pilot headpiece (as seen on Pilot Jango from 2002)

The articulation on this figure is great and unlike the 2010 SL Jango, his arms and legs move as if he were a clone trooper. Detail in this figure is amazing and reminds me of the days around 2002-2005 where you could buy deluxe figures that would come with all the accessories seen in the film. The new 2011 Vintage Zam Wessel goes great with Jango as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very funny and still in its prime, March 8, 2011
This review is from: American Dad!, Vol. 6 (DVD)
American Dad Volume 6 contains all 18 episodes from the shows 5th season.

Episode list:

In Country... Club 4.5/5
Moon Over Isla Island 4/5
Home Adrone 4/5
Brains, Brains, and Automobiles 3.5/5
Man in the Moonbounce 4/5
Shallow Vows 3/5
My Morning Straitjacket 3.5/5
G-String Circus 4/5
Rapture's Delight 5/5 (Best episode ever!)
Don't Look a Smith Horse in the Mouth 4.5/5
A Jones for a Smith 4/5
May the Best Stan Win 4.5/5
Return of the Bling 4/5
Cops & Roger 4/5
Merlot Down Dirty Shame 4.5/5
Bully For Steve 4.5/5
An Incident at Owl Creek 4/5
Great Space Roaster 4.5/5

Every episode on this set is great. Can't think of any that I really didn't like. The season premeire "In Country... Club" is one of my favorites. Very clever episode(using golf carts as helicopters in a Vietnam War reenactment). "May the Best Stan Win" was also very funny. Love the futuristic cyborg version of Stan with a Canadian/Mexican accent. But perhaps the best episode ever is "Rapture's Delight", the 2009 Christmas episode. The 2nd half of the episode where Stan and Jesus turn into B-movie action stars who journey to defeat the anti-Christ while uttering terrible puns is hilarious. One of Stan's best lines ever comes in this episode: "I guess I just picked a whole bouquet of oopsie-daisys."

Starting with the first episode of 2010 "Don't Look a Smith Horse in the Mouth", this episode and every episode after it on the list above are shown in a Widescreen format.

Awesome set of episodes. 18 episodes is the most since Volume 3 and most of the episodes in this set come with the uncensored version and the original TV version for each episode.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not too bad but just not what it used to be, March 3, 2011
This review is from: Family Guy, Volume Nine (DVD)
Family Guy Volume 9 contains 14 episodes. The last 11 episodes of season 8 (not including "Something, Something, Something Dark Side") and the first 3 episodes of season 9. The 3 episodes of season 9 on this set are shown in a Widescreen format.

Episode list

Business Guy 2/5 (Last episode of 2009)
Big Man on Hippocampus 4.5/5 (First episode of 2010)
Dial Meg for Murder 3.5/5
Extra Large Medium 4.5/5
Go Stewie Go 3/5
Peter-assment 2/5
Brian Griffin's House of Payne 4.5/5 (Good episode except for the scenes with unconscious Stewie)
April in Quahog 3/5
Brian and Stewie 1.5/5
Quagmire's Dad 2/5
The Splendid Source 4/5 (Cleveland appears in this episode!!)
And Then There Were Fewer 3/5 (Season 9 premeire)
Excellence in Broadcasting 3/5
Welcome Back Carter 3.5/5

The episodes that I would reccomend are "Big Man on Hippocampus", "Extra Large Medium", "Brian Griffin's House of Payne", and "The Splendid Source" .The rest of the episodes are OK with the exception of "Brian and Stewie" which was absolutely horrible. Didn't care much for "Quagmire's Dad" either. This obviously isn't the best Volume of Family Guy and the next one probably won't be any better. For some reason in a few of these episodes Quagmire has lost his humor and is hardly funny at all. At this point the series is well past its prime with decent episodes few and far between. The only reason I'll buy this set is to complete my collection and for the handful of decent episodes.

5.0 out of 5 stars 2008 Daytona 500, January 6, 2011
This DVD is one of my favortie NASCAR DVDs. I really enjoyed watching the race in an interactive "My Race" format. The different angles and audio make the race fun to watch over and over again.

The different angles include:

FOX Sports original TV broadcast

#88 Dale Earnhardt Jr on-board with team audio

#9 Kasey Kahne on-board with team audio

#11 Denny Hamlin on-board with team audio

#20 Tony Stewart on-board with team audio

#24 Jeff Gordon on-board with team audio(only for the first half of the race. After Gordon retires with a suspension failure he is replaced by #31 Jeff Burton on the DVD)

Great DVD for fans who can enjoy this historic race over and over again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Nascar DVD, January 6, 2011
This is a great NASCAR DVD. There are two TV programs that showcase some of the greatest finishes and best drivers in NASCAR history. Both programs are a little over a half and hour in length and are very entertaining. The Bonus features on the disc feature 2 bonus races the 2003 Carolina Dodge Dealers from Darlington(Ricky Craven and Kurt Busch) and the 2007 Daytona 500(Kevin Harvick and Mark Martin). Both are about an hour in length and are two of the best finishes in NASCAR history and are probably the best part about the DVD.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another NFL Films masterpiece, January 1, 2011
NFL films made another masterpiece with their list of the top 100 greatest players of all time. Each player is presented by a significant sports figure(athlete, writer, coach, owner, etc.) and each segment is filled with the great NFL Films footage of that players greatest moments. The narration is perfected as is the NFL films music. If I had one complaint its that some players get ranked too low. Barry Sanders, Randy Moss, Brett Favre, Michael Strahan and many others were ranked somewhat low in my opinion but otherwise this is a great product for any football fan.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed with this figure, December 26, 2010
I recieved this piece as a gift and was very excited when I first saw it. But after opening the package I was very disappointed. First the blasters that come with the Mandalorian are difficult to fit into his hand. I had a couple of extra blasters just lying around that worked better. Next the figure hardly fits onto the bike. I couldn't get both of his feet to stay on at the same time and couldn't get both hands to stay on the handlebars either. The handlebars are very flimsy and could break very easily. The bike does have a tow cable at the rear end of it that is hidden beneath the body of the bike but that's the only thing I like about this piece. I really wouldn't recommend this piece to anyone. If you need a bike try the BARC Speeder or the Speeder Bike. If you need a Mandalorian I would reccomend the basic Clone Wars Mandalorian as it is cheaper.
