5.0 out of 5 stars Warning: Gortner books are hightly addictive., February 24, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Once again, C.W. Gortner brings pages to life. Even though fans of history already know "what happens", Mr. Gortner has a remarkable talent for making that somehow irrelevant and captivating the reader to the point where you feel the same tension as the characters inside!
The Tudor Secret blends histoy, mystery and fiction into a weave of the Tudor court. The intrigue, lies, ambitions and passions among familiar characters will keep you so engrossed in this book, you will not want to put it down! The true heart, however, lies within the fictional main character of Brendan Prescott. As with all of Gortner's main characters, (Juana of Castile in The Last Queen, Catherine di Medici in Confessions of Catherine Di Medici) you feel an emotional attachment early on. Understanding, sympathy, fear for his safety/well being and hope for his happiness are all reasons why I can't wait to read the next adventure of Squire Prescott! Another 5 star book from C.W. Gortner; he never disappoints!!

4.0 out of 5 stars World's Toughest Computer, November 12, 2009
I've been saying for a month that I should write a review for this baby laptop. I have a wild 9 month old who likes to push the buttons sometimes but has more fun beating it up, standing on it, walking on it, sitting on it, carries it by the handle, turns it into a see-saw and finds more uses for it every day! We've had it for 3 months and it's still in perfect working condition, even after all the abuse! It's one of his favorite toys. The music never seems to get old to him. The one negative though is that one time, on closing, the lid did pinch his fingers. Didn't stop him from loving his laptop though.. he's even playing with it right now!

5.0 out of 5 stars More Third Watch, PLEASE!!, September 30, 2009
This review is from: Third Watch: Season 2 (DVD)
I've been obsessed with Third Watch since it was on the air. I've waited years for it to come out on dvd and am ANXIOUS for the rest of the seasons to come out! So is my husband, whom I have turned into just as big a fan since the release of season 1.
For those who have never seen Third Watch, it's an incredible show that will keep you on the edge of your seat and have you totally wrapped into the characters. Never before (or since) has a show had more heart, been more real or just as consistently fantastic as Third Watch!! This is not a show that ever gets boring, from the 1st season to the last.
