5.0 out of 5 stars King of the Grill, August 14, 2005
A terrific grill for the money. It went together very easily--took about 20 minutes total, and the instructions were easy to follow. It is a good size--we had a BBQ for 45 people the weekend after we received it, and it was big enough to allow us to grill plenty of things at the same time. It heats up quickly and evenly, and it has many nice features that our last grill did not have--hidden storage, a pop-up shelf, a gas tank gauge. All in all, I'm thrilled and would definitely purchase it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Even big kids love this one, October 9, 2001
My daughter is 9 years old, and she still loves to play with this cash register. It's lasted through years of play, and is still one of her favorites. It definitely grows with the child because of the calculator feature.

1.0 out of 5 stars A real stinker, February 21, 2001
I usually like Faye Kellerman's work, so I was excited to read this book. What a disappointment! Perhaps the worst thing about the book is that you don't realize until about 300+ pages into it that it is so, so awful. By that time, you don't know whether to keep reading and hope for the best (which is what I did) or cut your losses immediately. For those of you who haven't yet read the book, let me save you the trouble of making that decision--just don't start the book. Pick up another Faye Kellerman instead. This one stinks!

2.0 out of 5 stars Too too much, January 23, 2001
This review is from: Bee Season: A Novel (Hardcover)
While I liked the pieces of this book, there was just too much going on with too many characters for me to get truly enthralled. An elementary schoolgirl communing with God, her 17 year old brother converting from Judaism to Hare Krishna, and her mother living a secret life of crime--any one or two of these stories would have been interesting. But taken together in a not-too-hefty novel, they didn't allow for terrific character development. Although Myla Goldberg is clearly a gifted author, I felt like she bit off more than she could chew with this story.
