Worked pretty well for a little over a year. It heated water fast. There are a couple signs that the quality is a bit lacking:
One concern is that the power cord gets pretty warm to the touch, which suggests it's not sufficiently rated for the amount of electricity running through it. It runs so briefly, this generally isn't an issue, but power cords really shouldn't heat up under normal operation.
Recently, a small hole appeared in the steel bottom of the pot chamber, and styrofoam is visible through the hole, which means that the heated water is also getting exposed to heated styrofoam. It's a small hole, but during the course of operation, a significant amount of water leaked out of the bottom. I never used it for anything other than heating water, so the stainless steel bottom must be very thin to break simply as a result of normal operation.
