I ordered this set of six Lenox flutes after one of my previous four broke while I was washing it. These all arrived intact, having been protected nicely in the manufacturer's box; however, I immediately cracked one, this time while it was waiting in a soapy sink to be washed. It's not like I'm manhandling them. Lenox says that these are dishwasher-safe and break-resistant. Nope. They are made of thin, lead-free crystal, and that's part of their beauty, especially with the bubbles of champagne streaming up their sides. It's also what makes them easy to crack.
On the table and in the hand, this is a beautiful design. They aren't as durable as my Schott Zwiesel titanium crystal flutes, but they are more elegant.
